Day 69 | [video] | Dilandau Albatou

[For the first time since he's been in Kore, Dilandau's not looking the least bit put out when making a public announcement. He's alert and in a good mood. Though he's draped on his sofa, it's a deceptive relaxation. He's got the stillness of a coiled spring,  ready to jump into action any moment. ]

I hear there's more than beasts in the woods. Does anyone have information about the metal bears who guard the perimeter in the forest?

[Logan wanders in a while after the invite and goes straight for the ice box to snag a beer. In a quick, subtle movement he slides out only about an inch of a blade from between his knuckles to snap the cap off the bottle. Even if Dilandau was watching carefully, what he'd just done probably didn't make much sense, but Logan was banking on the other man letting it slide.]

You wanted to see me?

What went wrong? [A small amused, but bitter smile creeps across his face before he hides it behind the bottle of beer as he takes a long drink.]

In theory, they chose us. They're watching us. They know us, an' they know what we can do. They gotta lot more intel, is what I'm sayin', though anything is more than what we have on them... which is none.

Second thing that went wrong? They cheat. When they don't like how things are going they stop the game.

Third. They got way more resources than us. In fact, most of our resources we only have 'cause they've provided 'em. They've got hidden guns, a seemingly endless supply of robots, explosives, an' lets not forget tranquilizers for when they're not amused any more.

[He pauses and downs the rest of his beer.]

Our biggest problem though, half of us here don't feel too comfortable sharing our special gifts with the group. We can't work as a team, 'cause surprises keep comin' outta nowhere. I ain't sayin' I have a solution for that little problem... but it is a problem that we can actually do somethin' about.

Oh. An' you should know. If yer plannin' on doin' something be prepared for some backlash. They always set us up somethin' real nice when we misbehave.
