the Doctor | 005 | Day 70 | Video
[Thanks to Donna, the Doctor was now refueled by tea. A thermos-full to be exact as he sat out on the front steps of his house, taking a break from spending hours upon hours working on his project. The outer shell of the generator was complete, and now the difficult task of fine tuning the inner bits and adapting.]
Later this week, there might be some random power outages. That'll most likely be me, so a bit of a head's up. Erm, sorry... It shouldn't last terribly long, though.
...Any news of people's disappearances? Sorry, I've been something of a hermit these last few days despite monitoring the network.
[Private to Jubilee]
When you get the chance, stop by. I need to do some readings of your powers. If you don't mind, that is.

[Private]
[Now someone was far too curious!]
[Private]
One of them is usually with me. If not both.

[He liked dogs better than cats, by far.]
I had a dog once! He loved to play chess with me.
no subject
Well, neither one of these two will be playing chess, but they're amazing when it comes to nightly snuggle needs.
no subject
Well, they're welcome any time as well as you. Just stop on by!

[Jubilee shuts off the feed. It's about an hour later when she finally appears at the Doctor's house. She's got neither pup with her, but that may have to do with the leaves she's still brushing off her jeans.]
The Doctor? I'm here! Minus pups, but they went hunting or something.
[she waves toward the woods.]

In the kitchen!
[He looks up for brief moment.] You don't have to worry about them being attacked? [Maybe animals are left alone. That was something he had to look into.]
no subject
She follows the layout of the house and finds the kitchen. Leaning against the doorway, she shrugs.]
I dunno. they always come back and don't seem to have too much trouble. Whatcha doin'?
no subject
Making our way home... It's a generator! [He inhales sharply as he stands up, wiping his hands on a kitchen towel.] Hopefully with your help, we'll gather enough energy contained and.. well... We'll see from there.
[He didn't want to give too much away just yet.]
no subject
Nuclear bomb energy, or something smaller?
no subject
Can you contain your powers? I mean, place it in like a container and it still works [He didn't want to say 'like a bomb' but he really did mean 'like a bomb'], or do you have to have a constant power source?
no subject
I've never tried putting it into a container. It's always just me. I'm sure I could power something by standing there, depending on how long I need to, but to shove it into a battery? I dunno.
no subject
[He wanted to measure how strong her powers were, the voltage, but he'd have to go by her word and take it that she was rather powerful.] Alright, we're going to have to run some experiments...
[ooc: sooo in terms of time and logistics do we want to hash out what they may/may not have done? So one thing he'll be testing is to see if her powers are compatible to make his generator GO, store up enough electricity to more or less at some point reach a point to partially blast through the barrier & rip a hole through time.]
no subject
Magneto... err. Erik and Stark might be able to give you hand. They're usually the ones we go to on my world.
[Beyond Forge and Hank, who weren't here.
OOC: Sure! The thing about her powers is she is a walking atomic bomb. She detonates matter on a subatomic level. Can her powers be stored? Probably, with the proper battery. She doesn't know numbers, but she knows how to make them pretty lights or to drop a building on their heads.]
OOC
He was inquiring about making bombs to help the other group to distract the scientists while he runs his own experiment.
