[ Of course she's been trying to leave since the moment she had been taken, but it hasn't worked. Each and every attempt had been completely unsuccessful, with literally no effect whatsoever.

Until, that is, when one attempt finally does work.

The feed kicks in with enough time to show little more than white light, almost like there's a problem with the video, and there's the faint sound of wings. It fades fast though, along with the light, and it's replaced with the slightly dishevelled looking face of one missing angel. She's out of breath, a little dizzy and definitely disoriented, but the one thing she does before anything else is drop a hand over the communicator. It's black for a few seconds while she fumbles with the buttons, and then the feed cuts out.

[He's a little surprised when she knows who he is, once he realizes that she shouldn't have recognized him, but given that she'd heard he was here... Well, she had to have spoken with one of the others already and put things together.

Still looking a little worried, even as she says she'll be fine, he does at least manage a small smile and a nod in response to her concern.]

Yes, I'm-- ...Well, I'm getting better, at least. Raphael healed me on my first night here, but I'm still working to regain my strength... [The smile tightens a little for a moment, but he quickly forces it to relax again.] I don't think it'll be much longer. [And then the concern for her returns - he wants to ask if she's certain she's okay, but she'd do better to have one of their other brothers assist her. Thus, he prompts a different question.]

The others know that you're back, right? You must have spoken at least one of them already? They were so worried about you, I just...want to make sure.

[ If Raphael is looking out for Samandriel then he's got something at least to focus on that isn't the very missing Lucifer, so that's a relief at least. One problem ticked off of the already growing list of issues, possibly. Possibly will have to do for now. ]

Don't worry, they know. Can't do much around here without someone finding out. [ It's meant to come off joking, a light hearted comment to set his concern at ease. It's just a little hard when forcing a laugh takes more effort than usual. She's just tired, though. Nothing a few days rest away from experimenting scientists won't fix. ] Gabriel tells me that Raphael's trying to keep the family in the house we've been at. Has he got to you yet?

[ She's more curious than anything, really. In her time here family has definitely climbed the ranks of importance, so having them all in one place hardly bothers her. So long as they can all keep the peace, anyway. ]

Oh, good. [He breathes a small sigh, and his smile relaxes some, just relieved to hear that the others knew she was back. They'd be able to offer her more help than he could at the moment, anyway. And, the fact that she's joking is at least a sign that she really will be fine soon - that's all he needs.]

Yes, he has. I...suspect that I was actually part of his reason for keeping us all here. [Well, his arriving in the state he had, paired with the apparent disappearances of others. Nonetheless, he's actually appreciated having family so close. It's been comforting.] But I expect you'll be joining us as well, now that you've returned? It, uh, it'll be nice to see you again. It's been...

[Trailing off, he draws to an awkward pause, realizing he's not so certain he wants to do the math. Especially considering...well, she, like the other angels here, with the exception of Castiel, are dead in the time he's come from.]

He tends to do that. You're lucky you avoided us all getting de-mojoed. [ She's deliberately keeping things light and humorous. She hasn't seen him in a long time, but Samandriel is her brother. Family means more to her than most things these days, particularly given how much the people keeping them here like to mess with them.

If she can set his mind at ease at all, relax him a little more, then she'll try. ]

You'd expect right. Are you there? It...really has been a while, hasn't it.

[ Too long, but she can't quite say that much. She's still an angel, okay? Talking feelings is hardly a family trait. ]

[Okay, so that's kind of worrisome to hear, but he tries not to let it show through because he can tell that she's trying to keep him from doing just that--worrying. So, instead of focusing on the unpleasant sounding aspect of it, he tries to look on the lighter side and manages another little smile.]

Yes, I'm still here. I'm not so sure I'd be allowed to leave yet, anyway. [Look, he can kind of joke too?] But--...Yes. I suppose we'll have to... catch up a little. When you're better.

Hasn't anyone told you about this sort of stuff?

[ That surprises her a little, because it would have been one of the first things that she would have checked off. The angels deserve to know in advance just how well the captors can screw with them, honestly. She'd thought that they would have been immune to it, back before she'd been a part of it, and she'd learnt quite quickly just how wrong she was. He shouldn't have to learn the hard way.

Still, aiming for gentle here, right? Easing him into it, right? So, just smiles and gentle laughter for now. ]

Tell you what, give me some time to get over all of.. [ Have the vaguest of gestures to her general self. ] ..this, and then we can talk. I'll give you a run down of what's gone on here and you can tell me about what's happened back home while I've been gone. Deal?

[He manages to look almost sheepish for not having heard of these things, even if it's not exactly his fault. It's not really that it's been kept from him, he doesn't think, just everyone's been waiting to tell him until he got better. ...Once he was less panicked about everything happening.

Anna's offer is one he can appreciate, though. Hearing everything that's happened in Kore is definitely something that piques his interest, and he doesn't mind sharing things about events back home, even if...most aren't good. He figures he'll probably want to avoid talking about more recent events, but that's something to worry about later. For now, he just holds his smile and gives an appreciative nod.]

Deal. I'd like that; I've only gathered the basics on this place so far, and I'm certain you're curious about events back home. At least--any that you haven't heard about from the others. [He hesitates for a moment, but nods again.] But of course, it's best saved for once you're doing better. You rest, and we can find a time in the future to speak. We appear to have nothing but time, after all.
