[VOICE]
[Mina is intensely angry and unhappy. And she's making little attempt to keep that fact unknown. It's more or less radiating out of every syllable.]
I don't suppose any of you mechanically-minded individuals can salvage my kitchen appliances out of that disaster?
Not that it matters much, but if people keep showing up at this rate, eventually someone is going to be forced to live with me. I would rather they could probably heat and cook their own food than resort to eating me.
[Locked to Bruce]
How are the medical supplies holding up? I have a small stockpile, if you need something.

I know your name, but you don't know mine.
Unless you've been coy with me.

[ The tone of his voice suggests he's smiling a little, which he is. ]
But in your own time.

[A pause.]
Mina. Doctor Mina Barrett.

[ He's doing a little incline of his head; his manners are occasionally Old World European even where they can't be seen, but it shows up in his voice. ]
I agree. But all you have is the name I was born with. It only holds as much power as I allow it to.
[ There are others more meaningful to him inasmuch as he chose them. ]

Well, no one suggested it was to you.
[Mina likes this one. Perhaps it's the European in her own soul. Or perhaps it's the fact that he's some semblance of manners.]
Pop by House 18 sometime.

I'll do that. [ A hint of smile in his voice. ] As soon as you decide you'd like your appliances returned to you.

The idea of my flatmates eating me will not soon go away.
no subject
No, indeed, and we can't have that. If tomorrow suits?
[ He has to yell at a bunch of people attempting to build things for the next couple of days, but the fact is that most people stuck here have time and nothing else. ]

In case you missed the parade, I am a vampire.
[She's almost disappointed she didn't get a parade.]

[ The last is ironic on every level possible. ]

Oh, no, dear. I'm a lifelong pagan.

[ This has been an unexpectedly fascinating conversation; Erik is pleased. Especially since he tends to expect days here to alternate between staving off boredom and 'what fresh hell is this.' ]
Tomorrow, then. Sans cross.
