I've woken decades later to find myself in the future from when I had 'slept', but waking after travelling backwards in time is new to me.

Or is this place simply so deprived of technology that it only seems to be archaic?

I suppose I survived without cellphones before. I can learn to adapt again.

Down to the real business of it all, though. [ Her voice turns a little more stern at this. ] Which one of you removed the dagger from my stomach? And how exactly do we get out of here? Don't tell me we can't, I already got it from that thing on my wrist that is trying to be a communication device in the most basic of ways. If there is a way into this place, then there's a way out. And I am not staying her any longer than it takes to get out.

Scientists? Or at least, they pretend to be. There're cameras in every house. In every room.

What about 'we don't know'? [ She doesn't know the way out but Lydia doesn't like that tone, it usually means bad things ] Everyone says there's no way out but people have left before. Sometimes they come back, and don't ask me why they would. I wouldn't. [ Okay, she has but that wasn't optional and she didn't remember even being here before ]
