I've woken decades later to find myself in the future from when I had 'slept', but waking after travelling backwards in time is new to me.

Or is this place simply so deprived of technology that it only seems to be archaic?

I suppose I survived without cellphones before. I can learn to adapt again.

Down to the real business of it all, though. [ Her voice turns a little more stern at this. ] Which one of you removed the dagger from my stomach? And how exactly do we get out of here? Don't tell me we can't, I already got it from that thing on my wrist that is trying to be a communication device in the most basic of ways. If there is a way into this place, then there's a way out. And I am not staying her any longer than it takes to get out.

Look, we all said pretty much the same stuff when we arrived. Truth is, none of us know how we got here, except that we are here, and we're stuck here, and we're being watched every second of every day.

[ Wait. ]

Watched?

No one said anything about being watched.

Who the hell is watching us?!

There're competing theories about exactly what they want with us, but we're pretty sure they're...

[A pause as he tries to think of the right word.]

Scientists? Or at least, they pretend to be. There're cameras in every house. In every room.

So then we find one of these 'scientists' and we make him sing all his pretty little secrets and get out. [ Because she hates this the more she learns. ]

You're not the first person here who's had that idea. It doesn't seem to be an effective strategy.

[ There's an exasperated groan from her. ]

Then they haven't done it the right way.

I refuse to give up. Besides, sometimes what fails once succeeds later.
