¡peligro! x 001 x audio/video

[The audio feed is a mess of scuffling and cursing. That's the sound of the fountain, there's the sound of your broadcaster stumbling and hitting the ground (with a squeak, so enjoy that), and--ah--

[Here's the video. It's hard to see him immediately; his fingers scraping and scrambling over the screen do a pretty good job of hiding his face--and his expression, crunched tight in panic and confusion and anger--] No. No, no! get off! Fuckers, you sh-shitsucking bastards, you don't get me. You don't get me, I fucking swear, I will zap every last one of you cumstains-- [Where does it break it has to be breakable everything breaks how do you get this thing off?!

[What did you want him to notice it's on? Maybe later. Excuse him as he bites at the wristband of the communicator.]

That's correct. I'm a humaniform robot.
thezerothlaw: (oh!)

It's quite true, I promise you. It's difficult to show you evidence of it like this, I admit. I was designed to look as convincingly human as possible.

[He's puzzled, more than anything. He can't really understand why there's so much antagonism in the first place.]

I suppose I'm trying to convince you, as you seem doubtful.

Oh, I see. In truth, I was a prototype, and perhaps a bit of an experiment. I was partly created to encourage friendly relations between humans and robots, to go where robots are often not welcome, and to perhaps create a society combining the best aspects of human and robotic behaviour. I believe there was also some interest in creating a robot who thought more like a human, so as to provide insight into the human mind. Few humaniform robots were created. We were not popular with the general public.
