001 [Voice/action] Day 103

[Well, waking up to an asphalt pillow is not the worst experience of Stiles' life, but it's still mighty unpleasant. Enough so that he doesn't notice the device strapped to his wrist until he's dragged himself to his feet and reached into his pocket for his phone. Which is missing.

He raises his wrist, staring at the device for a moment, then begins pushing buttons.]

Cape- What the hell? How drunk did I get last night?

[He doesn't realise it's broadcasting, so enjoy a nice, bumpy view of the ground and Stiles' legs as he walks, everyone!]

Hello? Hello?! Where the hell am I?

I have ADD. Which means I can't focus on the topic at hand for more than five consecutive minutes. And I get into trouble a lot, and I'm a terrible liar.

I've got the feeling that, around here, that might not be too much of a problem. Most of the... residents--

--of this particular town seem to have a knack for getting into trouble.

Usually my kind of trouble is the almost-lethal kind. Actually lethal in some cases if you're not incredibly lucky and just a little bit of a genius.

People have a proclivity for getting into that kind of trouble around here, too. Or maybe it's just the people that've got us trapped here that want to inflict that on us.

There are cameras in every room, so if you value your privacy, you might consider finding some way to block them. People disappear at random; some of them reappear, some don't. We've had several deaths. There was also a sea monster... incident.

[And really, that's just the tip of the iceberg.]

...You know, sea monster and deaths are the sort of thing you lead with, not really a follow-on. Like "you have no privacy, and by the way! You might die!"

[Although that doesn't take care of the fact that they probably record audio, too.]

Just don't try to destroy them -- they come back.

Don't worry -- I'm not naming any names, but people have tried shooting the cameras, in the past. It's a lot less destructive to just cover them up and pretend they aren't there.

[He doesn't do that particularly well; he's always aware of them. But it's reasonable advice, for someone else.]

Well, someone's keeping us here. We're not entirely sure who's responsible, but if they're filming us, they're either keeping an eye on us, or using the cameras as an intimidation technique.

That's a difficult question to answer, so I'll only say that, in my own experience, I haven't seen anyone besides other prisoners.
