[Damn. Okay, she's good. And now Kenzi's getting suspicious.]

The thief was only stealing to get back at the dad he'd never met.... [She hesitates. Too many questions. It's starting to freak her out.] It wasn't one jewel, it was a bunch of them. Uncut stones our client managed to pick up on leisurely strolls through the woods like a perfectly sane person. [A-skippin' and a-jumpin alls the day. Freakin' Will-o-wisps!]

Jewels weren't important. It was more complicated than that. You know what? Question time is suddenly over. I don't think I actually have to tell you anything because none of this is relevant to getting out of here.

[Sharon's smile just widens. She'd been wondering how long it would take.]

Actually, it might have been. There are these gems called Infinity Gems, and when they're gathered together, they can distort reality. [She holds up a hand to indicate the area around them.] I thought it might explain this. But the Infinity Gems are definitely cut. [She shrugs.] It was a long shot, but I had to see if they were the same gems.]

Definitely no freaky gems and that was from forever ago. A year ago at least. Don't you worry about my problems because none of this shit is my fault, got it?

I wasn't saying it was, Kenzi. Whoever did this must have had a reason for targeting us. You mentioned someone named Bo. I was taken from someone, too, and if they're trying to use me to hurt the people I care for, no universe will be far enough to keep me from peeling their flesh from them and causing them so much pain they can't even remember their names.

So yes, we're done for now, but if you can think of anything that might help in the future, no matter how trivial, please tell me immediately.
