[Hello Kore, there's a Doctor on screen for you! He's grinning from ear to ear, kicked back in a chair, feet raised up, clearly in the diner.]
I heard there's some new arrivals! Hello, there. I do love new guests to this humble island that we're ever so blessed to inhabit.
Oh-- Is that a religious enough reference?
[The chair snaps down and he's sitting up in his chair, leaning forward with his hands clasped before him.]
What's all the fuss about this 'king of hell' bloke I've heard about? I do love a good story! I met the devil once, have I mentioned that? Stuck on an asteroid? Strange one, that one.
C'mon now! Story time!

[Which really isn't terribly surprising, given Anita's general avoidance of the network her first few weeks here.]
Come on, you can't just say you've met the devil and not tell the whole story.

[He waves his hand at her, wiggling his fingers with a big smile. A moment later he's slipping off his feet from the table and leaning forward into the camera.]
I happened to come across base on Krop Tor with my friend, Rose. We were stuck, but found out that there was the devil trapped in the depths of the planet there possessing members of the ship of a deep space exploration team.... Long story short, he still remains stuck and has visited a black hole!

[She smiles right back at him -- she doesn't generally consider herself to be much of a people person, but what can she say? That smile is contagious.]
Huh. You don't say. And I'm guessing it's safe to assume that's not the only story you have like that, right?
[Tall tale or not, it's entertaining at least.]

Nope, nowhere the only one. The Daleks, Cybermen trying to take us over, dinosaurs in London, planets ruled by spiders, an entire planet dedicated to every book in the universe, odd space stations, displacements in timelines... Where would you like me to start?
[Now he was showing off.] American? Judging by your accent, I mean.
[Video]
[Of all the things he's listed, of course that's the one to catch her interest. What can she say? It calls to her inner biology nerd.]
So you're not just talking about space travel, but time travel, too.
[Really, she sounds intrigued, rather than dismissive.]
Interesting. And yes -- the midwest, to be precise.
[Video]
[He mutters under his breath: Right, really never use that again.]
Brilliant! Ever been to the world fair?
[There's a pause.]
I suppose that's before your time, really.
[Video]
[She has to crack a smile. Usually, perky people aren't really her cup of tea, but he's interesting.]
Sounds like you've been to just about everything there is, though.
[Video]
[Shrug.]
Although, I really could go for some chips right now. Nice freshly fried chips...

[She knows she would if she were in his position.]
Too bad the food shortage means we've got the bare necessities and nothing else -- and that's if we're real lucky.

[And of course the many accidents and various reasons the TARDIS got pulled somewhere. Or where he had made a mistake in placing coordinates.]

[Not batting much of an eye at the fact that he lives longer than humans -- she sees plenty of that -- but it does raise a few questions.]
If it's not too rude of me to ask, what are you? Back home, I thought I'd seen everything, but I've been meeting a whole lot of new 'whats' here.

You're not kidding, are you.
[She's already decided she could swallow the idea of time travel, this really shouldn't be much more of a stretch. 'Green-skinned alien' kind of maxed her out on her disbelief quota.]

[She smiles cheekily right back. Well, how 'bout it?]
