[Martha had found the infirmary with only a little searching. She was dismayed to find it in the condition it was. But now that it was found, she had to let others know.

When the video comes up, she looks exhausted both from the recent activity and the consistent lack of sleep.]

I guess it's only to be expected that once I got the clinic the way I like it, the scientists would destroy it and force me to set up another one. I've found the infirmary and am working on doing what needs to be done. If you need anything, stop on by. I still have some supplies from the other place.

As for the Variety Show, it seems like we should postpone it until we all learn more about our living spaces.

[Martha pauses, and it's very clear she's not sure if she should bring up what she's about to say. When she finally does speak, it's not nearly as confident as before.]

If you have any remedies for nightmares that don't involve taking away memories... please let me know.

[The feed goes dark after that.]

[Martha was not expecting a teenager to come on looking so scared. She's so surprised she forgets to conver her own fear, but only for a second. Her features soften, and though she still looks plagued by lack of sleep, she also looks concerned for this person.]

[Carrie looks skittish, as though one wrong word will send her running.]

Hello Carrie. It's good to meet you. Not under these circumstances of course... Did you survive the tunnels all right?

I'm alive.

[She seems...proud of that. Even without her powers she managed to survive.]

Are we living here now?

Alive is always better than the alternative. [Martha is absolutely serious as she says it. She's amazed sometimes she's still alive.]

[She looks around her when Carrie asks the question, as though evaluating what to say.]

It looks like. I don't know much about where here is, though it sounds as though this is where they kept tabs on us in the old place. If it weren't for the fact that people do need me, I wouldn't bother setting up the clinic. It's likely they'll move us again once I get it all set proper. [It's a joke, but she wonders. On top of it though, she's more worried where everyone went. The scientists had to have been here before...]

As good a reason as any to go poking around the hallways for clues.

[Martha hardly needs a reason for an adventure.]

Does it have equipment?

[ The video is missing him - there's part of his ear and shoulder visible but mostly it's just wall. ]

And I know of a few, but they involve training.

[She can't help but smile at the shoulder and ear.]

Unless you have a good reason not to show your face, you might want to tilt the camera a little. Right now I have a great view of the wall.

[Her smile drops then at his next statement.]

[ He fumbles with it a minute, a flash of face and then ceiling, darkness and hands as he turns it over a couple times, then finally gets it.

Practice. There are herbs that are used for dream walking, allowing you to control you dreams. Or those of others.

[Martha waits patiently for him to get the phone right. When he comes back, she grins.]

[Do angels do sarcasm? Probably not. Martha doesn't care. She's ready to answer his question.]

Most of it is stuff I know how to use. Though I'll admit there is some I've never seen before. Some medicines too that are best left untouched until I can run proper tests on them...

[And then he says dream walking.]

I don't want to control any one else's dreams. Just my own. And I don't want to open myself up for mental attack.

[She'd had quite enough of that already.]

These are inconvenient.

[ Some do, some don't, and some better than others. Raphael...gets it occasionally. ]

That is useful, at least.

Doing the latter doesn't mean you have to do the former. And the herb I'm thinking of wouldn't cause an increase in vulnerability, unless someone targeted you with it.

The phones? They're a bit ahead of my time, but I'm guessing by maybe a year.

So this herb. If I took it myself, it wouldn't cause any issues unless someone else gave it to me?

I've never used a phone.

Even if someone gave it to you, it wouldn't. They would need to take your DNA - say from a bottle you drank from or hair from a brush, mix it with their herb tea and drink it.

Never ever? Well, I suppose it makes sense. You probably have all sorts of angel speak that we don't understand up in heaven. The angels in our world did too, though I don't know how the Doctor knew that.

[She'll go easy on him regarding the phone then.]

So don't accept drinks from people unless I know and trust them... Because I'm not going to go about collecting every hair I shed.

Granted, unless we find an herb garden here, this entire conversation is moot.

Correct. Dreamroot has a distinct smell as well, so it's unlikely someone could hide brewing it.

Maybe the angels can help? Or drugs. Are there dream drugs? You know, like in that Freddy Krueger movie...

...that would be good to know.

It doesn't seem...too bad here.

[It's quiet and she has a room. Her standards are really low okay.]

[That statement alone suggests some past. Whether it's living in a third world country or an abusive household, Martha doesn't know. She treads carefully.]

It's better than some places I've stayed.
