Video/Action | Day 132 | Open
[When she opened her eyes again, Sarah found herself in a room. Not her room, but a room. She was back in her jeans thank goodness. That dress had been uncomfortable. But where was she. It had to be somewhere in the Labyrinth.
She sat up and looked to the nightstand. A... thing sat there. A thing with an inviting button. She picked it up and pressed it only to hear a message telling her welcome to the Science Center, that it was her new home, and to enjoy her stay. She pushed a few more buttons and accidentally turned on the video broadcast without realizing it.]
Video
[The camera is trained on the ceiling when it opens up, but it moves around, occasionally landing on a girl's face. It's as though she's turning the thing around.]
New home? That's not right. This is some sort of trick. Hoggle? Ludo?
[Silence... the camera stops facing a wall.]
I wonder what's outside the door. Come on feet. We can't find Toby or the Goblin City unless we start walking.
[The video shakes as she steps. A door opens and closes. Now the viewer is staring down a hallway.]
My name is on the door? But that's... this whole place is wrong. It's not at all like the rest of the labyrinth...
[Back to a wall, it's clear the person with the phone has started walking. When she talks next, her voice is raised as she shouts for someone.]
Hoggle? Ludo!.... Sir Didymous? Are any of you there? We have less than a half hour...
Action
[Sarah can be found wondering the halls looking for her friends or a way out if you encounter her.]

Re: Video
[She's talking to a black screen now and very, very frustrated. Now what's she supposed to do? Well fine. Sarah will just have to wander around until she finds some way out. And then there was the girl. The one she had been talking to.]
Oh. Hi! I pushed the wrong thing and lost you somehow.
Video
Huh. Not quite the same design as mine. I wonder if they change them depending on the person? I guess you'll have to figure it out on your own.
Re: Video
[She'll just have to spend some time pushing buttons.]
So you're sure this isn't the Labyrinth?
Video
[Courtney shrugs, then shakes her head.] Definitely not the Labyrinth. This is the Science Center. It's...bizarre in its own way, but it's not like Goblintown.

[A lot of times, technically, but it's rude to brag.] You said you were looking for someone?

Still...]
Like, a baby brother? Geez. They're supposed to leave a changeling so you don't miss them. Someone dropped the ball.
[Okay, helpful is a thing that that commentary was not.]
no subject
[She looks confused and actually quite disappointed.]
And yes my baby brother. Of course he didn't leave a changeling. I wished he would take Toby away. But I didn't mean it!
no subject
[Courtney raises an eyebrow, but doesn't comment on the wishing aspect. That'd be unfair. She must've wished for her parents to vanish a few hundred times, after all.] Well, he's gonna have to wait. Sorry. But at least if you get out of here, you'll probably land at the same time and place you left. That's what I've heard, anyway.
no subject
[Sarah looked up, surprised.]
They can do that? Have other people left then?
no subject
Probably you should try to make the best of being here. At least until someone figures out a way to escape. Are you hungry or thirsty or anything?
no subject
I am a little hungry. As long as the food's not poisoned. The last thing I ate was, and that's how I ended up here. I don't want to do that again... unless I eat something poisoned that takes me back to the Labyrinth...
no subject
Probably wasn't poison, technically. Faerie food does weird things to mortal people. C'mon, the stuff in the kitchen is safe. I'll show you there. I could murder a cup of cocoa anyway.
no subject
But yes, I'm so hungry I could eat a horse. [She's a reader. Cliches happen sometimes.]
no subject
[Not that it may not have been poisoned, also, she supposes. It's moot now, anyway.] There's canned soup and stuff in the kitchen. Sometimes junk food, and sometimes weird stuff that may or may not be edible. I had cocoa with marshmallows this morning, though. Should still be that at least.
no subject
[Her stomach growled again, cutting off all arguments she may have made.]
Anything and everything sound wonderful. I just need food.
no subject
I've never been stuck down there for more than five or six hours. [Turning down the hall, she picks up the pace a little until they reach the kitchen door.]
no subject
[She really had made a mess of things.]
