Video/Action | Day 132 | Open
[When she opened her eyes again, Sarah found herself in a room. Not her room, but a room. She was back in her jeans thank goodness. That dress had been uncomfortable. But where was she. It had to be somewhere in the Labyrinth.
She sat up and looked to the nightstand. A... thing sat there. A thing with an inviting button. She picked it up and pressed it only to hear a message telling her welcome to the Science Center, that it was her new home, and to enjoy her stay. She pushed a few more buttons and accidentally turned on the video broadcast without realizing it.]
Video
[The camera is trained on the ceiling when it opens up, but it moves around, occasionally landing on a girl's face. It's as though she's turning the thing around.]
New home? That's not right. This is some sort of trick. Hoggle? Ludo?
[Silence... the camera stops facing a wall.]
I wonder what's outside the door. Come on feet. We can't find Toby or the Goblin City unless we start walking.
[The video shakes as she steps. A door opens and closes. Now the viewer is staring down a hallway.]
My name is on the door? But that's... this whole place is wrong. It's not at all like the rest of the labyrinth...
[Back to a wall, it's clear the person with the phone has started walking. When she talks next, her voice is raised as she shouts for someone.]
Hoggle? Ludo!.... Sir Didymous? Are any of you there? We have less than a half hour...
Action
[Sarah can be found wondering the halls looking for her friends or a way out if you encounter her.]

Ves ken Ay? Qet ent zee?
[Where am I? Who are you? Some humans know The Tongue. It's worth a shot.]
Re: Action
Sorry? I don't understand... what part of the Labyrinth am I in?

Who are you? Where am I? What is a Lab-er-enth?

My you ask a lot of questions.
I'm Sarah. We're in the Labyrinth. And a Labyrinth is a maze. Honestly you should know since you live here.

Not a goblin. A Skinwalker. Do not have those where you are from?

That, and the mention of the Goblin City is intriguing.]
Hey. There's no connection to Goblintown here that I know of. You've been dragged somewhere completely different. Who were you looking for?
Re: Video
Oh! You talked again! But with a different voice.
[Sarah crouches down and picks up the phone looking at it, concerned. Finally the image settles on her face, and she bites her lip as she studies it.]
You can hear me?
Video
[They're about the same age, although Courtney may look a bit younger at first glance. She's got a cranky, knowing look that Sarah lacks, though. It's not that she's lost all her innocence, just that she's buried it pretty deep.]
I can hear you and see you. The box thing you've got is a communication device. Like a phone without the cord, kinda. I'm Courtney, who are you?
[It's a brusque introduction, but meant kindly enough.]
Re: Video
[Have a closeup of her eye as she looks at it.]
We just have phones. With long cords. Nothing portable like this. But that would be nice I think.
How does the video work?
[She's still examining the thing closely until she remembers the girl asked her a question.]
Hm? Oh... I'm Sarah.
Video
[She waves casually.] You'll get the hang of it before long, don't worry. Welcome to Kore, Sarah.
Re: Video
[She focuses on the girl's eyes, not that it's completely noticeable through the screen.]
Kore? You mean this really isn't the Labyrinth?

I'm afraid none of those people are here, darling. That, or they've yet to arrive. [But that's pretty rare, all things considered.] And while this could be considered a labyrinth, its official name is Cape Kore. Apparently. Are you all right?
Video No worries... I'm awful at clarifying... there's enough context clues for me to figure it out
I'm not hurt if that's what you're asking.
I do however need to get back to Jareth's Labyrinth. He has my brother.
Video
Glad to hear it. Unfortunately, you won't be getting back any time soon. We're still looking for a way out ourselves.
[It would be nice if they could all go home. Or at least the ones who want to go home.]
I wish I could give you better news than that, but it's the truth.

He's the only one that can change time around. If I'm stuck here, he's probably...
[Her voice catches as though an idea just struck her.]
Wait a minute... it all happened after I ate that peach!

video, sorry this is so late, please don't feel obliged to reply!
Video - it's perfect.
[Since he's the third person to contact her by video, she is now able to mostly get herself in frame. Though you still have a better look of her eye and right cheek than her full face.]
I'm Sarah if you must know.
video
[Or something.]
Sarah, huh? Disappointing. Half the country's called Sarah, you know that?
[He says it as if it her's fault.]
