003 » video » day 137
[ there is half a second of what looks like a ceiling, and then a quiet oh crapsticks before it's tilted, very quickly, downwards. ]
Alright, so Cape- Can I call you cape? We're not even on a beach anymore, which totally sucks since I was just getting used to this whole idea of Cape Constant Nightmare. I even made t-shirts.
[ cue exasperated sigh and overly dramatic eye roll. ]
Also, just for the record, when I agreed to go to Oz I did not sign up to come back here. Wherever here ends up...being. [ charlie loses a little steam, here, looking around her in every direction the camera can't see. she's fidgeting a little, mostly because she's in some creepy room all by herself. totally normal. completely normal. one hundred percent- ]
Not that I mind the redecorating - it's got a great Tomb Raider meets first Terminator vibe - but uh. What the frick, guys? Just. What the frick. Anyone want to give me the sparknotes version before I go completely insane? Yes? Maybe? IDK?
PRIVATE to DEAN WINCHESTER, SAM WINCHESTER, JO HARVELLE, ELLEN HARVELLE, ANITA BLAKE, FORTESCUE, and ALEC MCDOWELL
Guess whose back, bitches.
[ vulcan salute, then charlie out. ]

[ there's this whole disconnect between the charlie of five minutes ago who was very much convinced that jo harvelle was nothing but a character in the supernatural books to the charlie of right now who is seeing jo smile and is smiling back and it feels really good to see her again. like, really really good.
like supremely good.
but right, back to...cape horror things. awful things. really awful things. charlie nods along with the explanation a little, before she stops on the hustled part and really can't help herself- ]
Do the hustle doo doo doo- uh. Yeah. I remember the tunnels. I was with Alec and Anita, we were going in and trying to take them to the end and- [ head explosion hand gestures, yes. ] Back home.
We were all looking for you when we came out on the other side. I was worried you'd gotten trapped down there.
[She frowns, pursing her lips.]
'Back home' was definitely the better option. You're not hurt?
Me? Trapped? Pssshhhh, never. [ charlie even adds in that whole waving off hand motion to make it seem more legit. which ends up makingf it look less legit but oh well. ] I'm great at maze games. I would have totally made it out.
[ charlie's over-dramatization kind of fades when jo mentions back home being a better option. she knows jo's talking about compared to being lost underground, but still. kind of puts a damper on things. ]
Eh, whatever the case, I'm back now.. Good luck getting rid of me next time. [ she shakes her head at the question, though. ] Nope. All limbs in tact, all digits unharmed.
[She's just saying.]
But that was a worst-case scenario. I'm glad it didn't come to that.
[Even with the dramatics having died down, Jo smiles wryly. Even if it means being trapped somewhere together, she's glad to have someone she considers a friend back. She's kind of short on those, lately.]
Good. Now we just have to give you the tour. There's definitely some kind of alien food in the kitchen.
Well, considering I have no freaking idea where this place spit me out, I'm not even sure where to start the tour. You got a YOU ARE HERE button? [ and then: confusion. ] Alien what now?
[Please, Charlie. Give her something to do. She's been going out of her mind lately. First you vanished, then Sam. She's not doing so well in the friend department.]
Alien food. Some weird plants in one of the labs, too. Meja's been taking care of them.
Meja? [ SUDDENLY upside-down charlie face. ] I guess if she's taking care of them I feel better, but still. Is the food blue? Alien food is normally blue.
[She squints a little, biting her lower lip to hold back a smile when she gets that suddenly upside-down view of Charlie.]
Pretty sure there was at least one or two blue fruit things in there last I checked. You can see for yourself in a little bit.
Think I've got a good read on where you are-- stay put, okay? I'll be there in a few.
See, I don't think I'd trust blue food. Or alien food. Are we going to get some kind of alien cancer?
[Video --> Action]
[But she doesn't give Charlie a chance to answer before she switches the video off, grinning broadly as she rounds the corner.]
Hey, stranger.
[Video --> Action]
[ and suddenly there is blonde hair and a hunter and charlie just grins, sliding her device away. ]
Sup, broski.
