[ there is half a second of what looks like a ceiling, and then a quiet oh crapsticks before it's tilted, very quickly, downwards. ]
Alright, so Cape- Can I call you cape? We're not even on a beach anymore, which totally sucks since I was just getting used to this whole idea of Cape Constant Nightmare. I even made t-shirts.
[ cue exasperated sigh and overly dramatic eye roll. ]
Also, just for the record, when I agreed to go to Oz I did not sign up to come back here. Wherever here ends up...being. [ charlie loses a little steam, here, looking around her in every direction the camera can't see. she's fidgeting a little, mostly because she's in some creepy room all by herself. totally normal. completely normal. one hundred percent- ]
Not that I mind the redecorating - it's got a great Tomb Raider meets first Terminator vibe - but uh. What the frick, guys? Just. What the frick. Anyone want to give me the sparknotes version before I go completely insane? Yes? Maybe? IDK?
PRIVATE to DEAN WINCHESTER, SAM WINCHESTER, JO HARVELLE, ELLEN HARVELLE, ANITA BLAKE, FORTESCUE, and ALEC MCDOWELL
Guess whose back, bitches.
[ vulcan salute, then charlie out. ]

It's good to see you again.
I like what you've done with the place. Nice and...ancient.
Isn't it? And not nearly as sterile as most facilities. Downright homey.
[She hates it here, just as much if not more than Cape Constant Nightmare.]
We'll need to give this place a catchy name, too. I really had my heart set on those teeshirts.

[There's a welcome face. Jo's lost a few too many friends from this place not to smile when she realizes she's not seeing things. It feels wrong to welcome anyone back to this place, but she's glad to see Charlie all the same.]
Long story short, there was an earthquake and the only way to get clear of it was to take the tunnels that opened up to this place. Surprise, surprise, the tunnels collapsed and now we're stuck inside these four walls. No ocean view to be had. I say we got hustled.
[ there's this whole disconnect between the charlie of five minutes ago who was very much convinced that jo harvelle was nothing but a character in the supernatural books to the charlie of right now who is seeing jo smile and is smiling back and it feels really good to see her again. like, really really good.
like supremely good.
but right, back to...cape horror things. awful things. really awful things. charlie nods along with the explanation a little, before she stops on the hustled part and really can't help herself- ]
Do the hustle doo doo doo- uh. Yeah. I remember the tunnels. I was with Alec and Anita, we were going in and trying to take them to the end and- [ head explosion hand gestures, yes. ] Back home.

Needless to say, she has no idea what salute that is. But it brings a smile to her face all the same.]
Hello, love. Memory intact, I see. What's this about Oz?
[She'll fill you in if you want, but you might have to nudge her in that direction, Charlie.]
[ which maybe is a stretch, and charlie looks a little more than sheepish, but the grin should help make everything less awkward. especially when charlie kind of waves the whole oz thing off as not a big deal. ]
The Wicked Witch kind of came back and tried to wreck some major havoc, but Dorthy and I took care of it. We were headed back to Oz when I showed up here, so you can imagine my surprise. No yellow brick road, no singing munchkins. I feel a little cheated out of the experience.

Charlie goes missing, then Sam, and everyone's starting to snap, and then a ton of new people get trapped here with the rest of them -- it's been a not-fun ride here at the not-Cape. Dean's happy and disappointed to see Charlie; maybe she was in a better place, but he's definitely missed her face. ]
We got beamed back to the ship. [ Wait. ] Hang on, forgot that could almost be a real answer. No, we got evacuated. Home sweet lab, huh? Where are you?

[ and she tries to hold the :| face. she really does. but it lasts for all of three seconds because dean's still here and dean's still dean and man. flashbacks. ]
Um. No...actually yeah, no freaking idea. I woke up and got the whole voice recording and the deja vu was enough for me to skip to the start menu. Better question - did you say lab?

Why were you going to Oz?
[ That is the important question here. ]
Video
[ wait, welcome back...charlie that doesn't make any sense. oh well. she tries to shrug and make it look like she's a badass, but there's no telling if it actually works. ]
Yeah, The W3 came back from Oz and The Winchester Bros and I teamed up with Dorthy to take her down. After it was over Dorthy realized my skillage when it comes to all things hunting and asked me to tag along. No big.

Holy Beejeebus, Sam. You look like crap. [ sorry bro, it's kind of a shock to go back to this when the last time she saw you you were...like a hundred times better.
but then it's back in character, chin held high and everything. ]

But back in my day- [ did she really just say that ] we had a beach-side view and a lighthouse to go with. It was all very New England, minus the crazy accents.

[He doesn't get that reference, but he feels like he should.]
Is that a code name for something?
[ a sigh, shaking her head. you know, some cultural references she figured everyone would get, no matter the universe. ]
If by codename you mean the fact my childhood is a real life book with a real life badass hunter chick as the main character.

We followed a tunnel here. There weren't many options.
[ A smile begins to form just at the corners of his eyes. ]
It's good to see you again, Charlie, though I might have preferred that it happen on better terms.
[ Maybe back at Sam and Dean's bunker, assuming Castiel is still alive. ]

Eh, circumstances are for squares. I go wherever...these creepy scientists apparently want me. Plus, I left before I could get a D&D group going. Had to come back for that at some point.

[They don't know each other that well, but he still missed her. She's his kindred. He bonded.]
Dude, where've you been? How have you been? You ok?

[ no matter the level they know each other, D&D bonds the, together and that's one of the strongest bonds there is. ]
Sup, dude? And eh, that's a little complicated. Went home for a bit, I think, and now I'm back. So on a scale of one to Freaked The Fuck Out, I'm about a three? The test run was nice. What about you? Survive the tunnels?

[ she says it lightheartedly, with a tiny little smirk. she's onto you, alec. ]
Yeah, she told me. [ but it was a valiant effort on your part. ] How've you been?
