[ Feed flickers on and Clint's breathing erratically.
Only because he just spent the last 30 so minutes, watching his own back while he built small perimeter around the box. Big enough for Bruce to get a closer look at it. While protective enough to knock some sense into the creatures that were stupid enough to go into freaking tar pits like they were going on a picnic to where ever the hell they were traveling. Clint does what he wants! With the benefit of everyone else in mind.
Being ground level is sort of a gimme at this point as he straightens up and makes a bee-line for a tree branch before pulling himself up and jumping to another one, climbing up the tree before hopping over to the roof of one of the buildings and running his hand down his face before lifting up his communicator. ]
From what I can tell, I got a pack of Cujos travellin' throughout town. Biggest group I saw was ten, but 'm guessin' there's more. I didn't stick 'round to count. The Saber-cats from Hell travel by themselves for the most part. I counted five when I was movin' towards the fountain. The big pack is established 'round the fountain. [ And the box. Oh goodie. ]
[ private to natalia ]
Agent Carter wants us to report for her. [ He smirks, since he hasn't seen or heard from his Tasha. He'll just make due with this one. ] She authorized use for explosives. Not that I see any use for explosives that won't end up in tears at this point.

I need you to believe me that this is for your own good. Hands behind your back.
[He's got a rope with a slipknot in his other hand, ready to loop around Clint's wrists.]
no subject
Doubt that, sir. [ He gritted his teeth together before putting his hands behind his back, eyes still on Phil. ] So what's makin' you think this is a good idea?
no subject
I'm a little concerned about your behavior the last few days. I have some idea about what's causing it and I'm going to fix it. In the meantime, I need you to sit on that chair.
[He indicates the stainless steal kitchen chair in the corner.]
You trust me, right Clint?
no subject
Was it Banner? Kenzi? [ He sounded a little annoyed. Or more so...very annoyed. ] Don't you know the sayin'? If it ain't broken, don't fix it. 'm fine.
[ He looks at the chair for a moment, tilting his hair for a moment. ]
Yes, sir. I'd jus' prefer if you would use a more comfy lookin' chair.
no subject
[He sighs. He'd known something was up without anyone telling him. He knows Clint that well.]
I'm sorry, Clint. I really am. I just don't know what else to do. Just trust me, okay? I'm doing this for you.
no subject
You don't seem so sorry, sir. [ He's getting a little annoyed now. ] How is this for me? It's just a box. I wasn't hurtin' anybody.
no subject
Sit with your arms behind the back of the chair. [He's sorry. He's so sorry, but what can he do to make Clint believe that?]
no subject
[ Clint really knows better than to fight Phil hand-to-hand, it was like with Logan. Clint actually cares if he hurts, Coulson. He hovered around the chair for a moment before moving to sit down, putting his arms behind the chair. Clint didn't make a show of it, but he did try to pull off the ropes. He'd try harder when Phil wasn't around. ] So...'m just gonna sit here until...what exactly?
no subject
[He walks behind Clint, tying his arms to the back with expert care before moving around to tie his ankles to the legs.]
Kenzi's going to be here when I'm not. We're not going to let anything happen to you.
[When he's finished tying, he stands close, hand resting on Clint's shoulder.]
I'm not going to let anything control you again.
no subject
[ He didn't mean to yell. Well...a little. Clint scoffed a little. ]
Cos Kenzi could totally take me when I get out of this. Why not jus' send that kid in the diner? 'm sure he'd make an awesome guard too. [ Key word: when. Clint has high hopes right now. ]
Nothing is controlling me. You guys are jus' fuckin' paranoid.
no subject
[Phil could give as good as he got.]
Kenzi has a crossbow. She will shoot you with it. You think she has that thing for decoration? I think she could shoot you with it easily and if she sees you even trying to get out, she will.
[He sighs again. Fuck.]
I'm sorry, Clint, but it's the only way I can think of to keep you safe. [And to keep everyone safe from him. He's seen Clint brainwashed once already and it apparently ends in him dying.]
no subject
Yanno, I thought it was decoration...thanks for clearin' that up. [ He wasn't afraid of Kenzi as much as he was afraid of Phil. He'd seen what Phil could do, but knew the man could restrain himself. He had restrained himself. He didn't shoot Clint. Knock him out. Etc. ]
You mean, keep everyone safe from me. Cos I was doin' fine. [ He takes in a deep breath, pulling a little on the ropes. ] 'm not being brainwashed, if that's what you're afraid of. I'm me, Coulson. In control, blah blah blah. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
no subject
[He should be afraid of Phil, because as much as it hurts him to do this, he will shoot Clint if he thinks it's the only way to stop him from hurting people. Still, Phil would much rather reason with him. Phil has the stamina for violence, but that doesn't mean he likes it, especially not against someone he cares about as much as he cares about Clint.]
no subject
Please...just let me go, Phil. I don't deserve this. And you don't want to do this, I know you don't. You have too much to worry about than me. This'll only add more things for you to have to keep in check.
no subject
[His fists clench.] No, you don't deserve it, but you don't deserve to be controlled, either, and I wouldn't leave you to live with the consequences of that. I'll worry about you more if you're not here. Just trust me. Please.
no subject
I already said I trusted you, Phil. [ He's the only one he did trust. ] Only two days, right? This doesn't leave the fuckin' house.
no subject
Hey. [He pauses.] I know you trust me. I trust you, too. I just don't trust that box. It has you acting strange and it has Norse shit all over it and I hate to point it out, but up until about a week ago, you were under the control of a Norse god.
no subject
[ He looks up at Phil, looking a bit shocked. ] You think this would have something to do with Loki? Makes sense...this...might actually be a good idea.
no subject
[He squeezes Clint's shoulder.] I do have good ideas sometimes.
no subject
Before hanging his head a little. ] Don't...let me do anything stupid, sir. I trust you enough to know what 'd want if somethin' is controllin' me again. Or gets control of me again. Don't hesitate.
no subject
Hurting you is the last thing I want to do, but if it's the only option, I will. The job comes before our friendship. I'd expect the same from you. [There's no doubt in his mind that Clint understands that "the job" isn't SHIELD. It's keeping people safe.]
