[The video feed opens and is fixed on a Darcy that is very much freaking out but trying to pretend like she isn't. Her tone is almost forcefully non-chalant.]

[She glances beyond the camera, no doubt taking in the bleak asylum looking surroundings.]

So, uh, whatever the plan is here. Saw or Gothika or Blair Witch... I'm not cool with it. I don't even like horror movies.

[That's a lie. She loves horror movies, but with a bucket of popcorn and the ability to scream at people too dumb to run when they should. Or just plain, GTFO.]

Also, let's get real. I'm not a virgin, but i'm not a total slut, so there's a 50/50 chance I can get out of here alive. Why don't we just skip to the end where I live to tell the tale of the creepy science place. Unless you want me to forget this place even exists. Forgotten.

[Darcy has never been so happy in her entire life to hear that voice. She smiles wildly.]

Where are you? Is this what being kidnapped for three hours was like. Tell me this isn't Asgard.

[Her smile stalls and then thins.]

Of course not! I meant some SHIELD lackey. Not you. I just meant on principle, if people are going to kill people, they shouldn't kill interns.

But again. Where are you?

I was in one of the labs. [ She rolls her eyes, not completely understanding what the reason is for everything to look so similar. ] They all look the same here, so it's hard to tell honestly.

[ Jane approves of any and all suggestions for their captors to torture SHIELD lackeys. ]

Maybe we should start marking the hallways or something...

[ This is said more to herself than to Darcy. She gets a little distracted wondering if someone's drawn a map, but then remembers oh yeah she's doing something important right now. ]

Just leave where you are and start walking. We'll run into each other eventually. I wonder if these things have GPS.

[Was doesn't do much good to Darcy right now and she lets out an exaggerated sigh even as she ventures into the creepy ass hallway with the flickering lights. And now Jane's talking about marking hallways, which is all well and good except that Darcy has nothing to mark it with and she needs to see Jane now.]

Eventually? Are you serious?

[Jane is nearly always serious, so Darcy doesn't really doubt it. She lets out another frustrated groan but does as she's told.]

Fine. But if I get stabbed in the meantime, that's on you.

Very serious. There's something here that controls the building, changes things around.

[ And she's yet to figure out how and it drives her crazy. ]

You won't get stabbed, everyone I've met here has been nothing but nice. There are some here who... [ And she pauses, thinking of Loki. Oh, his post on the network had been seen but she'd been really conflicted about trying to contact them. Then Thor arrived and things got a little better, though still confusing. ] Let's just say nobody's offered to attack me yet, so I think you're safe right now. Just don't mess with any machines you might see.

[ She'd investigated it with Max, and it had been an experience all right. ]

You mean like the stairs in Harry Potter?

[That would almost be cool if it wasn't also kind of terrifying. Still, she can hear the reluctant wonder in Jane's voice and knows where this is headed.]

And would you be telling me this because you've messed with said machines?

No, no. I didn't do anything.

[ There's a pause before she kind of rushes to speak, still marching through the hallways and peeking her head in any open doors to find Darcy. ]

Okay, so maybe. Look, I still don't know what the thing does but I have a feeling it's a lot of the reason we're stuck here.

Hey, you're the genius. Even if you're a hypocrite genius. But I got it. Don't touch the machines. No hitting big red buttons. I'll keep my hands to myself.

[She turns the corner and there's Jane. She grins and runs to her, throwing her arms around her.]

I've never been so happy to see you.

[ There's a tiny frown at the 'hypocrite' but it's hard to actually be upset once she sees Darcy. Her frown turns into a smile as she hugs back tightly. ]

I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I'll take it as a good thing. [ She pulls back, looking over Darcy quickly as if to really cement it in her mind that she's here. ] Have you talked to anyone else here?

You mean Loki?

[Because Jane has to know Loki's here. And if she doesn't, this should be the first thing that Darcy tells her face to face.]

Yeah, that was fun. But also, there are some very good looking people here. A+ time machine thingy.
