[Surprise, surprise, Meja's in the plant lab. It's either there or in the library that she can be seen, for the most part. She only retreats to her room late at night because, otherwise, she starts feeling whoozy. It's irritating, being herded by a building, but there isn't much she can do about it.

She holds up a vegetable to her phone. It looks an awful lot like a green-blue squash. Meja herself looks a bit on the tired side.]

If anyone's noticed these in the cafeteria lately, they're completely safe to eat. I put them there myself. One of our jars of seeds turned out to be useful. If you don't see any and you'd like some fresh food, there's usually one or two here in the lab, as well.

How are we all holding up? Senses back to normal?

Please don't give the plants any ideas.

[It's quite sad, yes, that this is both a silly and... potentially serious conversation. What even is this place?]

Especially after that incident with the mistletoe that wanted to be in everyone's personal space.

[It has its own corner of the lab, now, and a glass container to grow in. Where it can't try to grab everyone and make them... overly friendly.]

Oh, well, that sounds like a party. Are you sure you ought to be messing around with that stuff?

[ Probably it results in good stuff like bacon-less vegetables, but he also doesn't trust much this place coughs up. ]

There's good [she twirls the squash] in with the questionable. So, yes, I'm very certain. If food ever stops showing up in the kitchen, we're going to need all the help we can get, seeing as we can't reliably get outside. And from what I've heard, there isn't much out there.

[venatical]

Not a whole lot, but if we need to start up a farm again, I know who to call.

[wolfofmidgard]

I suppose you do.

[She misses the farm. It felt a bit more lively and organic. Sometimes the lab is a bit stifling.]

Hopefully we find a few more useful plants in these last few canisters. I'll cross my fingers for bacon plants, shall I?

[venatical]

You'd better. See if you can do some splicing or whatever it is you do and make me a real vegetable.

[wolfofmidgard]

[Meja laughs quietly.]

Personally, I'm going to hope we don't grow any pigs on accident. I think that would be strange, even for this place.

[venatical]

I thought that's what scientists do, cook up clone sheep. Make me a pig in a bottle, and I'll join your science club.

[wolfofmidgard]

I'm afraid that I'm almost useless in a lab. I've been taught to use a microscope, and a few other things. But I feel like growing a pig surpasses my skills. [She hurms.] Though, I wouldn't bet against our labs having something in them that could do that. There's an awful lot of machinery in there.
