[Video] Tony Stark | 001

[So, the feed will open to a very, very unimpressed face. Oh so very unimpressed. However, that face might be a little battered and bruised, maybe even slightly bleeding, but it's still obvious how undeniably unimpressed he is. After a moment of silent staring, his dark eyes narrow a fraction, adding mild agitation to the blasé expression. He is well aware this is some form of broadcast, and by the looks of it, it's an open feed, but he really doesn't care if he's making people uncomfortable. He's uncomfortable, and therefore, everyone else should be too.]

Really? No, I mean really? [He also might be a bit tightly wound. He's had a rough day. Understatement of the century, right there.] You should teach your goons not to aim for the face. It's my meal ticket. And honestly? I didn't expect to wake up in such nice accommodations. Actually, I was thinking more like a basement or a dungeon or even tied to a chair. But this is creative, I'll give you that.

[He pauses, thinking over the events and his current situation. It just doesn't seem to fit. This isn't AIM. The introduction said something about a Science Center in Cape Kore. He also sincerely doubts the evil twit has a reason to keep him alive. So, unless he's missing a chunk of time, he's just flat stumped. The injuries disprove the 'missing time' theory, however. So, back to posturing at his captor.]

And if you think this little flair of hospitality will make me any more cooperative, you have another thing coming, Killian. By the way, telling me not to escape will only make me try harder. [He gets ready to cut the feed, only to hesitate, brows knitted together in contemplation.] And P.P.S., this cell model is out of date. [Take that Aldrich! The feed is promptly cut thereafter.]

Six people in a contained area?

[ He's thinking along the same lines. That's...unsettling. Really, really unsettling, more so than the idea of being kidnapped. ]

If there's a way in, there's a way out, Stark.

[ None of your pessimism, sir, because they're going to figure this out. They have to. He has things he needs to do; they can't just leave everything as it is out there.

Steve's all set on the cautious optimism train (or well, the stubborn as shit train, as it may be) all the way until he sees the hall and the atrium. His stomach sinks and he goes very, very still a moment. ]

There's a way out.

[ It feels better to say it. He hesitates openly a moment, not sure if he even wants to ask this, but, ]

I didn't see any food, anywhere. I'm assuming they intend to feed us if they're keeping us here. If we find out where that comes from, that's a start.

I didn't pay attention.

[ He should have. Stupid, he should have - he checked for weapons, for anything his and took the phone and nothing else. Stupid. He knows better than that. Steve exhales, nearly a sigh of frustration and starts picking around, jiggling door handles to see if anything happens. ]

If the point is to keep us.

[ Which seems to be the indication, but he's not really sure at this point. Steve peeks down a hall, determines it's probably too short to be worthwhile and starts drawing in the other direction. He'll try to make a map, later, assuming he has paper to go with the pen. ]

The atrium seems like it would be in the center. Maybe you should go back, I can try and make my way there.

That's a good question.

[ Steve keeps on walking until he hears that, and pauses, glancing around. ]

What's wrong?

[ At least he found the markings. Steve turns back and starts following them, careful to note certain places and things he's seen, whether or not it's an empty room or a locked door, and makes his way back. ]

I'll meet you back there in a few minutes.

[ THAT'S FINE he didn't need an answer anyway, gosh, Tony. Soon enough, though, he sees the other man and shoves his phone into his pocket for the time being, moving closer with a frown on his face. ]

How badly are you injured?

[ Priorities, here, okay, Steve knows Tony's not a soldier but he wouldn't put it past him to be a wreck and still puttering around this place because he wants to know what's going on. Hell, that's what Steve'd do, but Steve's got the benefit of the serum and Tony doesn't. ]

[ He feels all special, Stark, how sweet. ]

Getting kidnapped by unknown enemies wasn't exactly in my agenda so I didn't dress up.

[ Steve's eyes linger on him a moment more, searching for how he holds himself, any sign of anything being worse than what Tony's indicated and then deems it good enough for the moment, turning and walking. ]

You might find something in the lab.

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-05-23 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Uh, yeah, you would do crazy surgery on yourself. No thanks. ]

I'm guessing there's a maximum distance and we're outside of that here, aren't we.

[ Also he doesn't need his suit to fly at him, okay, that's a bit overkill.

Steve gives him one more dubious look and then starts off toward the lab, following the arrows with a furrowed brow. ]
I was going to try and draw a map of the halls, but I'd need to go through the whole facility and I'm not sure that's even worth the time it'd take.

[ BECAUSE THEY'RE GONNA BREAK OUT!! ]

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-05-27 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Steve purses his lips, a little disappointed, but then, he's not sure how the suit would make it in here anyway. ]

Is there any way to tell which of those it is?

[ Walking walking, and finally they hit the lab, Steve pushing the door open and letting Tony through first. He's still on high alert - he knows Tony can protect himself well enough but without the suit, and Steve without his shield? It's not exactly ideal. ]

[ God, he's got the heebie jeebies something fierce right now. Steve picks his way through the lab, trying to find something, something he can use as a shield, for one, because he feels naked. ]

Well, if you tell me what you need and what it looks like I might be able to find it.

[ No promises, clearly, because he's only passingly familiar with a lot of things to do with technology, but he wants to get out of here just as badly and Tony's a good shot at it. ]

so rood.

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-06-02 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Yo excuse you, okay, he's getting the hang of this (sorta) well. On the plus side, Steve doesn't seem worried in the slightest about Tony's snark, because that's just how he is. They might not be the best of buddies, but he can keep the self-righteous little eyerolls to himself, for one, enough to get out of here. ]

Alright.

[ That's all he says about it, and starts picking through the laboratory, frowning as he lifts things and moves other things back. It's a lot of really, really unsettling shit in here, let's be real here. ]

Can you tell what kinds of experiments they were trying to run in here?

[ also: the hell is in these jars? Steve eyes one for a moment and feels his stomach twist, moving on. ]
geriatric: (subtle until the shield)

i am the slowest pfsgsjf

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-06-06 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah he's fairly certain he'd seen one of those horrible horror movies with a layout like this. Steve purses his lips, and eyes one of the creatures a second, before moving on. ]

We won't let that happen.

[ He doesn't try for a reassuring tone, but he is certain, glancing back as he starts digging through a cabinet, crouched with his back to a wall to watch the doorway just in case. ]

hahahaha <3

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-06-09 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ jfc Tony you're going to make him have a heart attack. Steve doesn't say anything, he just watches disapprovingly and presses his lips together in a thin line to keep from telling him to stop running all over the place without knowing what's there. ]

It depends what you're going to do with the knife.

[ That's easier to find; Steve digs and comes up with a scalpel, and brings it over but doesn't hand it to Tony just yet, glancing at the computer. ]

Are you going to try and pry it open?
geriatric: (Default)

ME TOO we coo'

[personal profile] geriatric 2014-06-15 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah he's not exactly a genius with these things but the idea of Tony cutting into himself to try and fashion those tiny computers into something usable is still a little stomach-turning.

Steve's eyes flick from his arm to the computer, and he grabs Tony to keep him from walking away, or worse, digging the scalpel in. ]

There are other labs, here. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume we can find what you need without you cutting yourself open.
