[At first, there's just the sound of feet shuffling and rustling cloth, followed by a couple of exploratory taps on the communicator.

Finally, a confused voice can be heard.]

Hello? If there's anyone listening, I need to know where I am and how I can get back home.

[There's a pause that lasts a few seconds.]

If anyone knows how to get out of here at all, that would be great too. [There's more tapping noises, followed by the same voice speaking.] Thanks.

[Well, that was a helpful response. Blaine tries to bite back the urge to respond with sarcasm.]

I didn't think I was, since I'm pretty sure I've never seen anywhere like this before. [Though that doesn't really mean anything; there's a lot of places Blaine hasn't seen.]

So I guess there isn't a way to leave. [He was afraid of that, and he's definitely not ready to believe it.]

No, but since it seems like nothing else is gonna either - at least for the time being - you might as well try it. If nothing else, it'll kill a few minutes, and if you do it on video it'll cheer everyone up no end.

Well, sure. Not a lot of entertainment to be had here. 'Course, they're mostly bored rather than miserable, but honestly? Watching what sounds like a full grown man doing his best Dorothy impression, preferably complete with sparkly red heels... there's not a lot of people whose mood that wouldn't lift.

[There's a static, windy sound before he speaks, as if he's moving his arm around with the communicator on it.]

We don't know where we are or how to get anywhere else.

[His voice is gravelly, irritated.]

The recording said something about this place being called Cape Kore. I guess no one's ever heard of it before; I know I definitely haven't.

It's no place I've heard of, past or present, and I've heard of most places.

[ drily ] You're in Cape Kore, obviously. Didn't you listen to the recording?

[ Her voice sounds relatively young, with a pretty sort of lyricism to it. There's also a hint of an accent — subtle, and she mostly sounds American, but there's bit of something Russian in some of her consonants. ]

If you find an answer to those questions that actually works, do be a dear and let the rest of us know.

I did listen to it, but since I've never even heard of a Cape Kore before now, I wondered if anyone else had. [He guesses not.]

That was more or less sarcasm, darling.

Frankly, I wouldn't hold your breath — it's been weeks, for most of us. I mean, yes, of course, absolutely let me know if you make any breakthroughs, but just asking over your communicator like this isn't going to get you much progress. None of us particularly want to be here, as far as I can tell, and none of us have found a way out.

[There's a wry laugh, and Kurt can be excused for not recognizing Blaine's voice, because people sound very tinny and different on the communicators.]

Unfortunately traveling here is very one-way. People come and then they don't leave.

[He sighs, letting out a long breath as he does so. He doesn't sound disappointed, because he really didn't expect any different, but he's not thrilled either.]

I was afraid of that. What do people do with themselves around here?

[He echoes the sigh, wearily.] Usually whatever they're best at. There isn't exactly a Wal-Mart or hospital around, so people who know about medicine do medicine and people who know about the inner structures of coastal communities do...that.

[Now it's Blaine's turn to laugh dryly.]

I don't know anything about either of those. The only thing I'm really good at is singing. [And without an actual glee club like the one at McKinley, Blaine guesses he'll look pretty silly if he goes around singing all the time.]

As soon as we figure out the answers we'll let you know, Sweetheart. For now, all we know is we're stuck here.

[If Blaine ever makes that connection, it won't endear him to their captors one bit. Her calling him sweetheart startles him a bit. He can't remember the last time someone called him that.]

It doesn't sound like we'll be getting any answers, though. [He shrugs. When he asked, he didn't really expect a solid answer.]
