Bruce Banner | 008 | Video
Thanks, Suzette, for that marvelous introduction.
[His brittle smile fades, and he glances away, gaining his composure again, before he turns back to the communicator. When he finally dared to sleep, he woke up to find one back on his wrist. He can't say he's surprised, but he's freaked out. Presently, though, he's actually more freaked out about having to send this message.]
So my "blood disease" is more of a... condition. [He smiles faintly.] A big, green condition. Don't play with radiation, kids, even in the name of science. Maybe especially not in the name of science.
[Okay, Banner. Quit playing around. He sighs, becoming more serious.]
It was an accident in the lab. I got hit with a lot of gamma radiation -- too much gamma radiation, and instead of killing me, it altered my cells. Now I can turn into... that, the big green thing that fell out of the sky. He's called the Hulk.
[He rubs his other hand over his face and pulls his glasses off as he sits back. He'd figured out a script, but it almost seems like a better idea to freestyle it. Maybe then he'd seem more honest, after lying about this.]
He's... He has good days and bad days. My advice is stay out of his way. If you see him again, which, best case scenario, you won't, but... He's handy in a pinch; he's how I escaped where I was, where the scientists were keeping me. I woke up in some kind of... white room, strapped to a table, and I... traded places with him. That worked out okay.
I'm going to be honest. Sometimes I can't -- Anger is the trigger, the big trigger. Believe me when I say you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. [He smirks lightly, but there's nothing but seriousness in his eyes.]
This is how I've been living for over six years now. I'm finding my groove, if that's any consolation. I'm sorry for lying. [And he really looks it.] This time I'd appreciate it if you didn't go for the vegetable throwing. If I freak you out now, if you don't trust me, okay. That's okay. Let's just agree to stick to opposite sides of the street.
I... guess that's it. Thanks.
[OOC: It should be noted that the Hulk was wandering around, and it's totally legit to say your character saw him, even if they missed him falling out of the sky!]

That.... is ...
Awesome.
That guy was YOU? The whole time? Holy crap, Bruce! I thought you were just a super doctor science guy but you have WICKED AWESOME POWERS ON TOP OF IT!?
Re: [video]
I wouldn't say they were wicked awesome. Or really even... powers.
It mostly just sucks, to be honest.

[She's just beaming at him. Bruce is back! They still stand a chance.] You okay? We totes missed you. And ... sometimes you gotta lie. To protect the people you care about. So don't sweat it. [Kenzi understands. Bruce should know why.]

You know you don't owe anyone an explanation.

Yeah, I do. I'd rather this than suspicion and whispers. [Looking at you, Suzette.] It's not like I can skip off to India. These people and their opinions of me, they matter.

He didn't hurt anyone, Bruce. He doesn't need to be apologized for, like he did anything wrong. Last I checked, getting you the hell out of there was the complete opposite of wrong.

Excellent execution, pleasing format, extra points for style... ending could've used a bit of work, though.

I doubt it will help, but that girl is rapidly climbing the list of people I'd like to shoot.
Re: [ Private ]
[He wrinkles his nose.] ...but it is nice having backup. That's new.

...And I'm sorry she forced your hand. If it's any consolation, from the looks of it, everyone's still on your side of the street.
Re: video/private
Besides, they... didn't meet him on a bad day.

Dr. Banner. I confess I didn't think that the accusation could have had truth to it. You seem to expect us to believe you to be a threat. Is that an accurate assessment?

Yes. Yeah, I can be.

And not to skip over the important stuff, but -- that other person and you mentioned scientists. You mean the actual scientists running this thing?
Re: [ video ]
...but he has red hair...?]
I'm not sure kudos are appropriate, but thanks. [Just rolling with this for now.] From what I understand, yeah. They abducted one other person we know for sure, Sam Winchester, and they abducted me. I don't remember that; I wasn't conscious until I woke up yesterday.

video;
When you say stay out of the big green guy's way...is that your way of saying the...other side of you is dangerous, doc?
Re: video;
Yeah. He's got anger problems. There are times... If he's behaving himself, best advice is not to provoke him. He's strong, really strong, and can do a lot of damage.
If he's not behaving himself... Run. [He lets that sit for a second before he goes on.] And call -- Call Tony. Or Sharon. Or Logan. They'll know what to do.
