Thanks, Suzette, for that marvelous introduction.
[His brittle smile fades, and he glances away, gaining his composure again, before he turns back to the communicator. When he finally dared to sleep, he woke up to find one back on his wrist. He can't say he's surprised, but he's freaked out. Presently, though, he's actually more freaked out about having to send this message.]
So my "blood disease" is more of a... condition. [He smiles faintly.] A big, green condition. Don't play with radiation, kids, even in the name of science. Maybe especially not in the name of science.
[Okay, Banner. Quit playing around. He sighs, becoming more serious.]
It was an accident in the lab. I got hit with a lot of gamma radiation -- too much gamma radiation, and instead of killing me, it altered my cells. Now I can turn into... that, the big green thing that fell out of the sky. He's called the Hulk.
[He rubs his other hand over his face and pulls his glasses off as he sits back. He'd figured out a script, but it almost seems like a better idea to freestyle it. Maybe then he'd seem more honest, after lying about this.]
He's... He has good days and bad days. My advice is stay out of his way. If you see him again, which, best case scenario, you won't, but... He's handy in a pinch; he's how I escaped where I was, where the scientists were keeping me. I woke up in some kind of... white room, strapped to a table, and I... traded places with him. That worked out okay.
I'm going to be honest. Sometimes I can't -- Anger is the trigger, the big trigger. Believe me when I say you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. [He smirks lightly, but there's nothing but seriousness in his eyes.]
This is how I've been living for over six years now. I'm finding my groove, if that's any consolation. I'm sorry for lying. [And he really looks it.] This time I'd appreciate it if you didn't go for the vegetable throwing. If I freak you out now, if you don't trust me, okay. That's okay. Let's just agree to stick to opposite sides of the street.
I... guess that's it. Thanks.
[OOC: It should be noted that the Hulk was wandering around, and it's totally legit to say your character saw him, even if they missed him falling out of the sky!]

Re: [ Private ]
[She hesitates. A long shot. Right. She really has to stop hoping so much. She has to be realistic if she wants to try and get these people out. Of course, she can't let anyone else know she's giving up hope.]
So I hear Christmas-related stuff is coming up. So what's on your wish list, Banner?
[No hard feelings, after all.]
Re: [ Private ]
That's a thing people are doing? You don't have to get me anything. Or if you do, don't take it seriously. Toys and joke gifts are perfectly acceptable. What about you? A Red Ryder BB gun?
Re: [ Private ]
I think I'd settle for a way home. But that might be a tall order.
Re: [ Private ]
[His smile fades.] What's happening with that?
[ Private ]
As that little snitch so helpfully advertised to everyone, we're holding him in the lighthouse. I expect we won't have long with him before they take him away again anyway, but...
[She rubs the bridge of her nose. Damn it, damn it, damn it.]
But whatever information we get out of him is information we wouldn't have otherwise. Tactically, it was a great help. Thank you.
[ Private ]
Have you found anything out yet?
[ Private ]
You probably don't want to hear the details.
[ Private ]
No, I don't. If you need a doctor, I'll help. [Or he might see if he can send Mina. He isn't sure he could stomach it.]
[ Private ]
Don't worry about it. Like I said, I don't think he'll be around long enough.
[ Private ]
When you do figure out whatever from him, I'm thinking we should meet, don't you?
[ Private ]
Certainly. Others are with him now if you'd like to meet sooner.
[ Private ]
[ Private ]
I might just do that, Banner. Coulson and I have a meeting each morning, but keeping everyone else up-to-date, too, could be good.
[ Private ]
Okay. Good, just make sure I'm invited when it comes around.
[ Private ]
[And her work is her bond. Or at least, that's the implication.]
