[ The video starts off with Jesse rubbing at his face with the hand not attached to a communicator. He looks sort of worn down, but at least he's not covered in blood! That's nice. When he's finished with that, he wrinkles his nose. ]

So, that whole escape thing was a bad idea. I hope nobody, uh... died. [ Wow, sensitive. ] I'm okay, for anybody who was wondering, which you probably weren't, cause I know maybe three or four of you, but. I got a question, anyway:

Anybody got any cigarettes? Or, y'know... food, that you ain't eating, but cigarettes're more important.

[ He's gonna comment on the halo thing, except she says she Fell, and wow, Jesse wasn't expecting that. He actually leans forward a little, gets closer to the communicator like that's going to help him hear better. ] Aw, shit, Miss Anna, really? [ A beat. ] How'd it happen? What'd you do?

[afallenstar]

[ She doesn't want to tell him. She doesn't want to tell anyone about the finer details of her relationship with Heaven, but honestly it's such a relief for people to finally know that she's an angel. Surely one more secret can't hurt, right?

It's not like they'll find her here, after all. Given what Dean told her about what her future apparently holds, she's more than happy not to see any of her siblings again for a while, particularly the eldest.

So after a few seconds of hesitation, she kind of just...lets it all out. Sorry Jesse, she's just got a lot on her mind. ]

It's...I Fell. Literally. Heaven, it's hard to explain. We're just supposed to be cold, emotionless soldiers, and I wanted more. Wouldn't anyone? I wanted all of this mess you have down here, so I tore out my Grace and I Fell, but they still found me and-

[ And that's apparently enough sharing, because she stops abruptly with a nervous laugh, and shrugs her shoulders quickly, eyes diverting away from the communicator as she tucks her hair out of her face. ]

Wow. Sorry, that's..yeah. Sorry about that.

[rigging]

[ Oh god no, this is so interesting, don't stop talking! But Jesse can hear the nerves twinging in Anna's laugh, and he won't push. Too much. Instead, he digests what she tells him and rubs at the back of his head. ]

No, no... I get it. [ He definitely gets it, wanting to feel all of the stuff humans do, the good and the bad. Jesse looks solemn enough; he won't tell, but he has something of a heightened respect for Anna, now. ] Don't apologize, that's actually real amazin' of you. Gotta be terrifying to rip something out like that, yeah?

[ He pauses. ] Man, you sure got a story on you, huh? Wish I was that interesting.

It's really not amazing. [ This actually feels nice, honestly. Confiding in someone, however hesitant it might be. It's been a long time since she's been this honest with anyone. ]

Mostly it just hurt. [ More jokes. Humor and definitely not deflection there, of course. ] The actual decision happened kind of suddenly, if I'm honest. Not much time to be scared, just had to do or die.

[ And wouldn't it be lovely if that weren't just a saying. ] This is bad interesting, trust me. You're good interesting. Bet you've got stories of your own that are way less traitorous than mine.

[rigging]

[ He's glad to hear it, and glad she trusts him. That's a huge secret, and she shared it with him by saving his life. She could've left him for dead, but she didn't. ]

Still brave, and you ain't tellin' me otherwise. [ He snorts. ] And I ain't an angel, so any stories I got ain't exactly spectacular. Mostly dirty - bad.

Alright, alright. I'm the Bravest Angel That Could. Happy? [ You totally made her laugh though, a self-depreciating snicker suppressed but there's no missing it all the same. ] You think I fell to blabber on about Upstairs? No way. Tell me something about Jesse Finch, you're way more interesting.

[rigging]

Ew, what's this, confession? [ HE'S TEASING oh god. He grins a little. ] I dunno. All the interesting stuff about me's a sin, but I guess that's a little like Falling. [ He runs his hand through his hair. ] I work for a rock band, that's about the most interestin' thing about me. I got tattoos? I dunno, Anna, I'm pulling blanks.

[afallenstar]

No one knows sin better than a fallen angel. [ It comes with a chuckle, and really there is a huge irony to the fact that she was born a human to such a religious family, all things considered. Except this is a light hearted conversation, and not the time or place to think about such guilt-inducing memories, so with a quick shake of her head she arches an eyebrow at him. ] Come on. I tell you the biggest secret I have and I get 'I have tattoos' as a response. One interesting, little known fact about Jesse, and I'll consider your debt repaid in full.

[ Yeah, she totally went there. She pulled that card. ]

[rigging]

[ Aw, come on, Anna, that's low! Jesse laughs, though, and shifts. ] I really don't got anything! Look, how 'bout - here.

[ She's an angel, and she Fell. So Jesse can give her something in return, something that's big like that. ] I... I been completely clean for three years now. Last time I did heroin was three years ago. [ He rubs at the back of his neck. ]

[ Well Jesse, you certainly figured out how to get her to shut up for a moment. It surprises her, and for a moment all she can think is 'God, you poor thing'. And yeah, her smile is sad, but it's still a smile. ] And you think I'm brave. I'm...glad you told me, Jesse. [ She really is, too. Sure, he knows something about her, but what he's shared is so much more sensitive than Anna's secret. She kept hers close to be selfish after all. Hardly a noble reason. ]
