[ Just like everybody else, Jet looks tired. Worn. But he doesn't make mention of it, and he doesn't want to think about anything that has happened the past few days, let alone talk about it. Still. Some things need to be addressed. So he comes on the communicators, a bandana pushing his hair back out of his face, with his eyepatch on for the comfort of his audience. ]

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jet. If anybody needs it, I have some measure of medical experience, which I offer to everybody here. No questions asked.

[ And now he looks away for a moment - but he has to look at the communicator for this news. It'd be disrespectful not to. His expression goes flat. ] Also... as of last night, Party Poison is - [ A pause. Just do it bluntly. ] - is dead. I thought there may be some who would need to know.

[He appreciates not being blamed by someone close to Party, but Bruce still feels guilty. He should have known better, should have tried to keep a better eye on Party or had someone aware of what was going on with him, but who had enough sense of mind to keep it together?]

I was a... friend. We've talked a few times. He told me to stay away from his brother. It was a bonding experience.

[retrograding]

[ And Bruce gets an eyebrow raise. ] Why did he tell you to stay away from the Kid?

[greenisnteasy]

I have some impressive anger management issues. I'm not sure if he thought I'd be a bad influence or what.

[retrograding]

Oh. [ That... makes sense, sort of? ] Kobra already has a temper, so I'm sure Party was thinking about that.

You don't have to stay away from me, I will tell you that. Not unless a reason comes up.

[greenisnteasy]

Yeah, that's what he told me. Kobra and I are actually pretty okay. I think I can help him, or I hope I can.

Oh, good. I'm glad to hear that. How are you holding up?

[retrograding]

He needs all the help he can get. [ Jet sighs. A beat, and then, almost mechanically: ] I'm fine. As fine as I can be.

[greenisnteasy]

That's not a bad place to start.

[He offers a tight smile, and then nods at the camera.] Do you have medical training?

[retrograding]

Not official training. [ It kind of just happened that way. ] I learned in the field, but I know what works and what doesn't. Why?

[greenisnteasy]

I was going to say you could help us out in the clinic. I'm the only trained doctor currently staffing the place, and I have some volunteers with some training. I'm always looking to increase the roster. Would you be interested?

[retrograding]

[ Oh, good - somewhere he can be useful. He offers a smile. ] Of course. Anything I can do to help, I'd be willing to do. Even if it is just carrying supplies.

[greenisnteasy]

Oh, I think we could use you for more than that. [He smiles back. He likes this guy and his hair. (They seem like two separate enough entities to warrant both being named.)]
