Right, so... Any conclusions on that earthquake? How trustworthy is this Maria? It doesn't seem very bright to plot an escape when 'they' are monitoring our every move.

And these hallucinations? Glad to know I'm not going to be thrown in a loony bin yet.

[He rubs at his eyelid, perhaps a nervous habit of his, before pulling his feet in and sitting up straight, looking dead into the camera.]

I know I'm not the only one different out of this lot, and I need help. 1. For the few that have talked to me and know of Donna Noble, don't refer to me as 'Doctor' around her, this is extremely vital. I'm John Smith to her. 2. I can explain why this is, [He licks his lips and narrows his eyes for a moment, clearing searching for the correct wording.] but it's all rather complicated. C.. No wait, was I using letters? 3. Backing up to my statement of differences, anyone have experience in telekinesis or for lack of better terms, probing one's mind?

The technology is rubbish here and for what I'm needing to accomplish would take me a very, very long time and it might be too late then.

[He takes his cue and makes a seat on the ground, his long legs out before him and his weight resting on the palms of his hands behind him.]

I've somehow managed to escape here before, but I don't know how or why, but I'd like to find out what's going on.

[She sits near him, but not within arm's reach.]

Okay. And how do my powers figure into that?

[She tugs the gloves back on, over the fingerless pair.]

I want to build some stuff to help me out. I want to know how time flows here. Typically, I can sense that myself on my own, but something here is preventing me to do that.

There's some other things I want to look into as well. I'm working with limited tools, so... [He shrugs.]

I didn't mean it to sound like I'd be using you. I'm not like that, really.

No, you're a typical scientist who got caught up in the science and kinda forgot that, hi, sentient being here.

[Eyeroll. Not even her first experience with scientists.]

But how do my powers come into play? I mean, sure, nuclear power, sorta, but not so much with the time keeping, or the doing much except, ya know, blowing stuff up.

Not a typical scientist. I've saved more than you think and done more good than bad... [He looks away, thinking of things that hadn't gone so well lately, losing Rose, now Donna, the Time War, his own prophecy.]

[And then he realizes she said something]

I have some ideas, but I'll need to develop things out a little more. I just got excited for a moment, knowing I can perhaps do something.

So, what? You're Victor Von Doom? Dude, I live in a world where one of the premiere scientists of the world? Almost killed the guy I consider my Dad. Then, the rest of the fancy scientists are usually looking for a way to kill me, so, ya know, whatever.

[She cocks her head to the side, watching him.]

Well, if my blowing stuff up, helps, I'm gonna need an outlet for my powers anyway.

All that is, all that ever was, all that is there to be. I see it, all the time. It's my burden and my burden alone, but here it's all wrong. Time lines don't make sense, and the flow itself is not exactly linear; not that time ever was. We've all be tampered with and this place isn't quite right either.

So I hope to get us out, with harming the least amount as possible. I don't know how just yet, but I'll find a way.

Dude, I've been through time at least twice. This isn't my first alternate dimension. I just hope when I get spit back out at home that I don't get stuck in Japan.

[She wraps her arms around her knees.]

And really, you'd hate home. Bishop and Cable are always messing around with time.

[He grins softly at her comment, and finally relaxes a bit in his own skin.]

Could be worse.

[She groans and drops her head onto her knees.]
