Video || Lydia Martin || 01
Hi. My name is Lydia Martin, and I'd just like to take this time to remind everyone, including my housemate, that this isn't a vacation. I know some of you would probably rather stay in this hell hole than go back to your uninteresting and unimportant lives, but frankly? I've had enough of this place. We should be working on a solution and sharing information. There's no point in keeping secrets and being wary of each other when there are cameras everywhere.
We should all be working together.
[She takes a moment to fix her hair and plasters a seemingly sweet smile on her face]
If anyone would like to help me, I'll be in the library. Alternatively, if anyone knows how to make a decent latte, I'll be at whichever shack you're holed up in and then at the library.

[ ... Someone has never seen Ghostbusters. What a tragedy.]

[People forgetting the scene can be forgiven. But not having seen it at all? Egads.]
I think we're fine until the giant marshmallow shows up, though. Unless this place is haunted.

[She smiles and gestures to one of the empty chairs, pushing a pile of books over.]
I know it's not the most glamorous job, but I was asked to help out and this was the task in question.

Not here for the glamor. For that, I have LA. [Which Veronica avoids, because she knows what goes into glamor.]
[She grabs one of the books from the pile and starts flipping through.] Anything to look for in particular?

You're from California, too? [That would make three of them so far. Could be a connection. She tilts her head and pulls out a pen, scribbling a few quick notes onto a piece of paper.]
In particular? Hand written notes, papers shoved in between the pages, anything that looks like it was left by the former residents. In general? Anything you think would be useful. Anything that will help.

[She starts flipping through the books. She can do all that. If there's one thing Veronica knows, it's searching for information.]

[Everything about her during that sentence was smug as all hell.]

I doubt that. I don't know if we even have a lacrosse team at Neptune. [She shrugs. She could boast about going to school with celebrities' kids, but having met them herself, she knows it's nothing to brag about.] We're about an hour and a half away from Mexico, though, so maybe we're on a different circuit. I'm sure you would have trounced us otherwise.
[Until the rich kids got upset and their mommies and daddies razed Beacon Hills to make way for a parking lot.]
