[ Bruce smiles weakly into the feed, but it's clear that there's nothing happy in his eyes. It's just a way to start. ]

I'd like to apologize for what happened with the Hulk. For those of you who don't know, that was... me. The big green guy. And when I get too angry, he can... do that. What he did.

It never should have happened, and I'm truly sorry.

[ He gives the camera another grim expression, smile gone now, before he switches the feed off. ]

[ Well, that explains that little conundrum. Charles leans forward in interest, a stack of books threatening to spill over at his right side where he's sitting in the living room. It makes sense, of course it does. Charles had felt another consciousness inside all of that rage - almost as if another telepath had been planting thoughts into the Hulk. But this is much more clearer.

Are you the famed Dr. Banner?

[ A mostly unfamiliar face. He recognizes him as one of the flood of new people they seem to have gotten, but they haven't met. Or, well, he hasn't. Maybe the Hulk did. ]

That's me, yeah. Not quite famous for all the things I'd like to be famous for. [ He smirks, but it's tired. ] And who are you?

That's something I can understand. [And to show she probably cares or something.] Are you alright?

[ Understanding is not what he expected, even after Tony told him some of his friends were worried about him. Friends. Bruce doesn't know why he still has them, but there it is. ]

I'm fine, physically. He tends to heal all wounds. [ For better or worse. ] Other than that... I don't know. I can never remember what he did, but I heard there was a lot of damage.

[ ... Bruce's eyes narrow. ] If you were so curious, why didn't you just ask?

That's sort of the impression I'm getting. [ He shakes his head. ] This place is like the Twilight Zone. Everything's backwards. This is when people are supposed to come after me with tanks and needles.

[ It takes a long time for Jesse to reply to Bruce's broadcast. He's feeling... better. Still immensely bothered for reasons he doesn't even know if he can express properly. He has no idea what it is even that's got him freaked out.

So finally, he tries this. ] You accepting apologies back?

[ His eyebrows are lifted in surprise, and he's almost afraid to ask. That's not the response he was expecting. ]

You should really find a way to control that anger, sugar. Making quite a habit of stomping around. Have to admit, the Jolly Green Giant look was new.

[ Being irritated at anyone isn't what he wants, but this is that weird woman who kept threatening him and said she was a demon. He's not sure what she wants with him now. ]

[ Oh, Lydia. Bruce rubs his hands over his eyes before he tries to answer her. ]

Kobra and I got into an argument. He... [ He sighs and then looks apologetically into the camera. ] Lucifer gave him some kind of fire power -- as in, he could produce fire in his hands -- and he was going to attack Sharon. I tried to stop him and talk it out of it, and our fight escalated, and the next thing I knew...

[ He's ashamed of himself and it shows. ]

[Curious, more than anything. And worried. How much does he remember about what she looked like?]

[ Not a thing. If anything, he's concerned that she might've been involved and gotten hurt. ]

Yes, sort of. He's his own... thing, but he's what I can turn into.

Hey, Bruce. How're you feeling?

Hey. [ He has a smile for Wallie that's actually pretty sincere. When Bruce holed up in his room, it was Wallie he called to see what he could find out about what the Hulk did. There are people here who aren't rejecting him for what happened or what he is, but Wallie's a different level of understanding. He's glad to see him again now. ]

Hi. I'm... okay. I guess. Hanging in there. I'm a little surprised at the support I'm getting. That's... not what I expected. At all.

[ Naturally, the first setting Ned learns how to work on these wrist communicators is the private setting. He hadn't been planning on mentioning his encounter with the Hulk to Bruce, but the message spurs him to action. He knows what it feels like, to hurt people on accident and crave forgiveness, and never get any. ]

Apology accepted.

[ He pauses for emphasis after he says it. Wants to let it sink in, knows (or at least, imagines) that the words will mean something to Bruce. Then, he smiles, just a little, to show that he's okay. Ned, not realizing that Bruce has no memories of his time as the Hulk, doesn't bother to give context. Some of that context is written on his face, of course, in the form of a recently split lower lip and a bruise that has formed high on Ned's left cheekbone. ]

Besides, it was an accident. You didn't mean for it to happen, and I didn't mean for it to happen, it was just... bad timing. And I'm perfectly fine now. [Ned feels his eye twitch, hears the strain in his own voice as he oversells the lie.] So I know your message wasn't just for me, but at least on my part, don't go beating yourself up about it- [He winces internally at his own unfortunate word choice] -because as far as I'm concerned there isn't even anything to forgive.

[ The apology does sink in, and it's especially powerful when Ned is as banged up as he is. Bruce, for his part, is cringing. ]

Did he do that to you? I should say -- I can't remember anything from when he's in charge. Nothing detailed, anyway. Are you badly hurt?

[ He can't process Ned's forgiveness yet. It seems too unbelievable. ]

I feel as though people will be quick to forgive you, Dr. Banner. One mistake does not make a man worthy of hell, though man is quick to assume he belongs there.

It's not exactly my first mistake. [ He wrangles that need to be bitter and puts it aside. ] Thank you. I'm really not sure what I've done to deserve everyone's forgiveness, but thank you.

[ He laughs, not that it's a really joyful sound, and then shakes his head. ] Not sure. Calming down. Being happy, I think. Being angry turns me into him, and then once he can stop, then we trade places.

And I don't plan on making a habit out of this. The park benches should be okay.

I agree with that actually, though it can be complicated. When he's in charge, I have no control over or awareness of what's going on. I take responsibility for the things that he does though.
