Oh, uh...
[Hello, Kore. Amidst the influx of new arrivals is Chuck. He's got short, curly brown hair and a beard. He also looks incredibly baffled as he squints down at the communicator on his wrist. He's outside, and his free hand is shielding his eyes from the sun. He doesn't appear to be someone who's used to being outside very often. Or like, at all.
He seems to be surprised that he's gotten the communicator working. He also seems confused as to who, exactly, he's talking to. But that doesn't stop him from stuttering on anyways.]
Sorry, I--I'm not exactly sure I know exactly were I am? Well, I mean... Cape Kore, obviously, but, uh... I mean, I was just in Ohio.
[He's smart enough that he knows that wherever Cape Kore is, it's certainly not in Ohio. He looks a little lost and confused for a second before a thought occurs to him.]
Was it---is this the angels? They did this, didn't they? They're the only ones who could do this, right? [And yet, even that didn't add up because,] I thought the Apocalypse was over!
[Chuck drags a hand down his face. He's not a Winchester. This isn't a life he's suited for. He's just a writer.]

[He nods. He knows this routine. Gabriel asked for something similar.] Yeah, sure. But, uh. I mean, if you don't mind me asking. Which angel are you?
Video- Private
Oh, and by the way, the Apocalypse is over, where I came from, but I'm not sure that's the case with all the other angels here. Better give spoiler warnings.
[Balthazar and Gabriel share some similarities in approach.] I'm Balthazar. Just one of the rank and file. There's no reason you'd have heard of me.
Video- Private
What, you mean, like... time travel? [Great. Another level of complexities to add on top of everything.]
No, I... I didn't see you in any of my visions.
Video- Private
I don't know if it's time travel or memory erasure or what. It's unsettling either way.
[A hint of bitterness enters his smile.] There were a lot of angels in Heaven. I'm sure if you'd had visions of us all you'd never get any rest.
Video- Private
No, it definitely doesn't sound like a good thing. [The exact opposite, in fact.
Unfortuantely... Chuck is a writer. Don't think he doesn't notice the past tense that Balthazar is using.] Uh... were?
Video- Private
Were. Are you sure you want to hear this? It doesn't say anything pleasant about the state of the world we come from, quite frankly.
[And Balthazar doesn't even know the half of it, yet.]
Video- Private
He knows what paths the future could take. He knows several things that might happen. Sam and Dean Winchester have become pros at changing the future in many different ways, and therefore he's not even certain that he knows what he knows.
But if Balthazar is willing to give up what little information he has, he's certainly not going to turn that down.]
Well... I mean, it's my future right? I'll have to know it sooner or later, you know?
Video- Private
Actually, now that he thinks of it, it's fairly impressive the Winchesters have been able to accept Castiel's frequent if inconsistent appearances to them. There's a mystery he'll have to ponder later.]
Well...look. This might be better discussed in person. Shall I come to you, or would you rather plan to meet up later on? [He's not aware yet that they'll be housemates. That'll be interesting.]
Video- Private
[And oh boy, does he. It it wasn't Zachariah, telling him to keep writing an not tell the Winchesters anything or else he will be stopped, it was Raphael, blowing up angels in his kitchen, and making his house a complete mess. And that's just what he's had to deal with, never mind the things the Winchesters get put through.
But he can definitely agree that a conversation this serious wasn't something they want to discuss over video. He nods.] Uh, sure. How about when you find that bar?
Video- Private
We're not all alike, though. Maybe we were in the beginning, but times passes. Things change. [Never mind that now, though. He shakes his head dismissively.]
Right. I'll keep you informed. Yell for me if you get into serious trouble. I'm not promising to play hero, but...I might help. [Prophets are supposed to be important, after all.]
Video- Private
[Except, yeah. He did mean it. Most angels are dicks, and there's just no getting around that. Even Castiel had been a jerk in the beginning.
But hey, Balthazar's offer of a maybe help is better than no help at all, and he nods.] Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
Re: Video- Private
And you're welcome. I'm sure I'll see you around. [He gives a friendly nod and cuts the feed.]
