Oh, uh...
[Hello, Kore. Amidst the influx of new arrivals is Chuck. He's got short, curly brown hair and a beard. He also looks incredibly baffled as he squints down at the communicator on his wrist. He's outside, and his free hand is shielding his eyes from the sun. He doesn't appear to be someone who's used to being outside very often. Or like, at all.
He seems to be surprised that he's gotten the communicator working. He also seems confused as to who, exactly, he's talking to. But that doesn't stop him from stuttering on anyways.]
Sorry, I--I'm not exactly sure I know exactly were I am? Well, I mean... Cape Kore, obviously, but, uh... I mean, I was just in Ohio.
[He's smart enough that he knows that wherever Cape Kore is, it's certainly not in Ohio. He looks a little lost and confused for a second before a thought occurs to him.]
Was it---is this the angels? They did this, didn't they? They're the only ones who could do this, right? [And yet, even that didn't add up because,] I thought the Apocalypse was over!
[Chuck drags a hand down his face. He's not a Winchester. This isn't a life he's suited for. He's just a writer.]

I don't think you've got much to worry about there. I'm no expert but I think God would look a little less poor artist chic. [ She raises her eyebrows, and yeah this time there's definitely no hiding it. Shes teasing, just a little, but it's all good-natured at heart. Certainly easier than talking in length about the why's and why not's of her decision to lie to the town upon arrival, anyway.
Because it's more that than anything. people have been slowly finding out, the ones that count anyway. She couldn't have done much to hide it from a few - though when the other option had been leaving a friend to die, there wasn't even a thought. It only got more people as people who knew her lie and all grew closer. At what point was she supposed to draw the line, rip the band-aid off and start being honest?
There's too much grey area, and thinking about it too much manages to give her the echoes of a headache, as near as she can get anyway, so more often than not she just doesn't. An angel dealing with issues by not dealing with them at all, who would have thought. ]
Look, this place isn't fun, I'll give you that. But don't worry too much, okay? There's people here who'll have your back, and it seems to have settled down a bit for now at least.

And so he gives an actual, genuine amused smile at her teasing. Without the proper context, it's not nearly as funny, so his smile doesn't last long, but it's there, well enough. ]
Yeah, no. Sam and Dean just thought I was you know, psychic? And like... [ He makes a hand movement. ] ...super honed in on their lives. But then Castiel showed up.
[He shakes his head.] I saw it. You know, before. But, I mean... I didn't really believe it until Castiel showed up.
[Because, a prophet? Of God? Really? I mean, it was one thing, learning that Sam and Dean were real, and that all of the monsters that they faced and all the people they met were real. But a prophet?
Sometimes he still doesn't believe that it's real.
And it's hard to believe that everything will end up fine. Because all he's heard since he's arrived in Kore was about how horrible it was, and all the bad things that have happened. It's hard to worry and to think that that everything could be alright. ]
Yeah, okay. I'll, uh. I'll try.
