Captain...America? Do either of you copy? We won't need to run civilians for communications, it seems. What's your status? I've run a search of the perimeter. I'm seeing no signs of an enemy.

Of course. [Sharon grins weakly.] I'm from 2012. Virginia. A friend of mine who isn't a friend is from 2011.

[She takes a breath.] I suspect we're dealing with a multiverse situation. My expert on the subject isn't here, but it would account for people knowing different things, having universes with different people, or the same with different experiences. It might also account for the differences in time - different universes have different physics.

One major problem with the theory is that we don't know how to get back out.

I imagine whatever brought us here can get us back. Or whomever.

I was a spy back home. Most of my work has been with a government organization called SHIELD.

I have yet to talk to Coulson, but I think it would be wise to prepare for a worst-case scenario, which means we might be here a while and will need medical facilities. If we could get such facilities off the ground, perhaps we could liase? That way, if something happens, we can get mobilized faster and not have to worry about getting in each other's way.

I agree. Coulson recommended getting in touch with someone named Banner about setting up a makeshift clinic.

[She tips the brim of her hat up with one finger.]

A spy? I'm curious. Who, exactly, were you spying on? I do hope the Germans aren't still a problem by your time.

[Coulson thought Banner was stable enough to be trusted that much? That was... interesting, to say the least.]

Not many Germans, but a few still believe in a master race. Or revenge, which can sometimes be worse. I tend to work against terrorists. I've been to Europe, Russia, Africa, Asia, and outer space before. [Technically, in a bad continuum, but that was classified.]

Do you know any fighting techniques?

[It's amusing how casually Carter talks about all that travel. And equally amusing how readily Mina accepts it all. But in light of what she's been through, it's all too easy.]

Besides the pistols? Some swordplay, although I don't relish it. I'm also decent at throwing a scalpel if need be.
