Captain...America? Do either of you copy? We won't need to run civilians for communications, it seems. What's your status? I've run a search of the perimeter. I'm seeing no signs of an enemy.

What kind of an enemy are we looking for?

His name is "the Baron." Tall, male. Long, curly hair. Penchant for wearing top hats.

If you see him, Agent Coulson, do not engage.

[She sighs. At least this man sounds like he has half a brain.]

I don't know why the Baron has brought you all here, but you're very likely going to be viewed as cannon fodder. Our first priority should be getting everyone under cover. I have Carter and...Rogers, was it? Carter and Rogers attempting to herd these people.

What do you do?

Mind control, strength, hallucinations, whatever the magic equivalent of telekinesis is, he's really fast and, oh, he might have killed me. Jury's still out on that one.

He had one of my men under his control, but I have since... knocked some sense into him.

Loud and clear, ma'am. Reporting in. We've got a few small groups branching off and disappearing from the main group around the fountain. I'll round up who I can and then look for anyone else inside surrounding structures.

Haven't run into any hostiles yet, but if that changes, I'll get people evacuated to a temporary safe house.

We need to start getting some kind of roster together. See if any of the civilians you collect have secretarial training.

You'd be correct. I can vouch that at least three of them have outstanding combat skills. Don't know if we'll be running into any trouble or what we'll find here, but if we need a team of specialists, they'd be our people.

First of all, I don't intend to do any book keeping. I am a field officer, not a desk jockey. As a matter of practicality, we need to inventory our assets and keep track of the people we need to defend against any kind of attack.

[She sighs irritably.]

We're going to need to set up a chain of command immediately.

He called himself "the Baron." I don't know about Norse gods per se, but he certainly could be mistaken for one, under the right circumstances.

I'm in the last house on the way to the dock on the left. I'll be waiting. [And she'll wait until Mina is there to discuss a war council. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as Mina likely thinks. But Mina's right. It has to be done.]

[Mina arrives a short while later, loosening her purple and black striped tie. She looks a bit rumpled, but no less authoritative.]

Dr. Barrett. [Sharon stands aside to let Mina enter and leads the way to the small kitchen. For now, she's the only one in the house, but that's how she likes it. In a weird way, it almost feels like her place in Virginia - far too quiet.]

[She glares up at the camera on the ceiling. She hasn't found a way to block it for good - everything she's done so far comes apart as soon as she leaves the room.]

What are your theories for how we got here?

[For a moment, Mina eyes the camera as well. She doesn't quite know what to make of these boxes yet. Technology. What rubbish.

She turns to Carter, sighing softly.]

I have several. I doubt any of them will sound particularly plausible to you. You might say my training and expertise lie a bit outside of the norm.

Would you like something to drink? The kitchen seems to be fully stocked, and as near as I can tell, it hasn't been poisoned. [And yet, Sharon prefers to drink from the sink. She holds up her glass.] Water?

I suppose I'll show you mine if you show me yours. I've already mentioned some unpleasant dealings with an individual calling himself the Baron, yes? He's at the top of my list of suspects.
