[ The Hulk woke up outside his and Banner's place with this black thing strapped to his wrist, and he's pretty pissed. Not pissed enough that he's going to tear shit up, he's just angry because he doesn't remember getting here. He doesn't remember forcing his way out of Banner, and he can remember each and every time that happened -- until now. Except for this one.

When the feed switches on, it's because the Hulk's fingers are pulling at the thing, trying to yank it off; that's when he notices the screen doing something -- filming -- and so now the feed fills up with one enormous green eye. He pulls his wrist back and tilts his head. He knows what this thing is now. ]

What happened to Banner? Where's Tony?

[ He glances around him, and then narrows his eyes at the camera. ] This place is stupid.

[ You've just been served. ]

You were gone for a while. I don't know where you went. Or where Dr. Banner went. I couldn't find either of you.

[She did look, a little. But she's wary about saying she couldn't smell them anymore.]

Would you like some company?

[greenisnteasy]

[ This again? He wasn't in the mood the first time, but she hadn't been so bad, he guesses. He sniffs and grumbles. ]

Do you want company? [ Not the greatest comeback, but it's half comeback, half answer. The Hulk isn't good at this stuff. ]

[bostonhowler]

[She actually takes a minute to think about it. Then she smiles.]

Yes, I would. I'll come find you.

[greenisnteasy]

[ She's so smiley. The Hulk isn't used to that. Tony and Betty were nice to him, but her cheerfulness is on a different plane. He isn't sure quite what's happening. ]

Okay. [ Maybe?! Pleasant interaction is so weird. ]

[bostonhowler]

[She can smell him, so tracking him down isn't hard. She's still puny, at least.]

I'm glad you came back.

[Brigid stands looking up at him, her hands in her jacket pockets.]

[ Girl, you are confusing. He frowns down at her. ]

Didn't have a choice. [ When does he ever, though? ]

[bostonhowler]

A lot of people went missing. You included. I think the house Dr. Banner was in is empty now.

[It'd smelled empty anyway.]

Do you want to go for a walk?

[It's not that she's not wary - she is - she's just not petrified. No reason to be.]

[greenisnteasy]

[ He tilts his head at her. ] To... where?

[bostonhowler]

[She bites her lip and looks around, thinking about it for a moment.]

The beach? I'm tired of the woods, unless you want to go find Stanley?

[greenisnteasy]

[ Oh, right. Stanley. Stupid tiger that liked him for some stupid reason, but the Hulk is a little sad he's gone. Not so sad though that he won't have to deal with his stupid tiger poop everywhere. ]

Beach. [ Wait, but -- why again? ] ...Why? What's -- why walk?

[bostonhowler]

[She cocks her head to the side looking at him. Nothing hostile, just curiosity.]

Because that's what friends do sometimes. They walk together. Do you want to do something else?

[greenisnteasy]

[ Now he's really confused. She's sure about this? He didn't even save her from an invading army of aliens or robot bears. ]

We're friends?

[bostonhowler]

[She looks up at him, scraping hair out of her face. A warm, welcoming smile tilts her lips as she stops herself from hugging him.]

I'd like to be, Hulk. If you wouldn't mind.

[greenisnteasy]

[ Er, um. He huffs and looks around them to make sure this is real life and this isn't a trick, but he knows Ross isn't here and the scientists aren't here and there's no one here but the two of them. And he still doesn't get it. ]

Okay... [ He bites his lip and then offers her his big, green hand. ]

[bostonhowler]

[Without the slightest bit of hesitation, she slips her petite hand into his. Her smile is genuine.]

Would you... I would like to... give you a hug?

[greenisnteasy]

[ He opens his mouth, looks around him, and then back at her. ]

O... kay?

[bostonhowler]

[There are many, many advantages of being a werewolf. One of them is that she can just jump to give him a hug. She wraps her arms around his neck and holds on tight. Her words are whispered against his neck.]
