Anna's missing, and I've tried to send her messages with no success. I'd make a joke about milk cartons, but I'm genuinely worried here, so any information is appreciated.

[Just as some of them trickle back, more leave. It leaves Fortescue with a bad, bad feeling in her gut, but she keeps her voice neutral.]

What does she look like? I'll keep an eye out for her.

Possibly yesterday. [He feels like hell for not being certain. It's just...Anna's so damned competent, and he knows she has friends around town.

If he'd had to point out which of his family members he thought might vanish, she would have been the last one he'd have chosen.]
