Anna's missing, and I've tried to send her messages with no success. I'd make a joke about milk cartons, but I'm genuinely worried here, so any information is appreciated.

Ten-four. [He cuts the connection and makes short work of fetching kitchen herbs, salt, and a handful of sundries he's been collecting since he and Raphael talked last. He arrives at the Church carrying the lot in a blue willow patterned mixing bowl.]

[Just as some of them trickle back, more leave. It leaves Fortescue with a bad, bad feeling in her gut, but she keeps her voice neutral.]

What does she look like? I'll keep an eye out for her.

[Maybe, someday, these restless walks of hers can be useful.]

If he'd had to point out which of his family members he thought might vanish, she would have been the last one he'd have chosen.]

Yes. She's never not responded to my messages before. If she's here, something's terribly wrong. Otherwise...

Well, that would probably be classified as terribly wrong, too.

[ He sighs heavily. ] Yeah - she usually responds when I call for her, so - I dunno, lotsa people been vanishing and coming back. Maybe we'll get lucky.

You doing good, man? Think last time I talked t'you you had a craving for humans.

The munchies are long gone, yes. Thank you for asking. [It comes out a bit more clipped than he means for it to. If he were less worried he'd be grateful to be remembered.]

I don't know what else to do. I suppose I'll just comb the area. [Which will likely be futile, but at least he'll be doing something.]

Yesterday. [He repeats the word, voice cold and more furious than upset. It takes everything he has to keep calm and rational.]

Nearly everyone who's disappeared so far has popped back up sooner or later. Anna'll be back too. I suggest we just take advantage of her absence to throw wild house parties. While the cat's away, right?

Maybe I'm a bit more sensitive to siblings walking away and dying than you are, Gabriel.

[Okay, that was uncharacteristically harsh, but he's not in the mood for jokes right now. It was starting to feel downright comfortable here, with a few siblings back from the dead. He's not enjoying the reminder that the people he depends on can be ripped away at a whim.]

No, the whole bleeding heart weeping into a handkerchief schtick was never very me. Can't say it's ever posed much of a problem though. Quite the opposite, really.

[But, as fun as it is to sabotage all his relationships, he's (not that secretly) horrendously worried about Anna. Lucifer, too. It's why he's acting out, but on the off chance that they are in serious trouble, he can't bring himself to be entirely callous about it, even just superficially.]

They're not dead. I'd know if they were.

[ If he sounds worried, it's only because he is. He likes Anna. He hadn't seen her in a while, it's true, but he knows Anna is more than capable of taking care of herself. He didn't realize she'd left. ]

Unless you've seen her since yesterday morning, I think we have to assume she is. [He can't really blame Chuck for not noticing. It took him a shamefully long time, too.

Maybe Raphael's right. They need a system to keep track of one another.]

[ He shakes his head. He hasn't seen her in a day or two. He just... hadn't put any thought into it. It wasn't like they spent all of their free time with each other, or even with him. He just assumed she was out doing things. ]

Does that mean... she's gone home?

[ Maybe they should ask Ghoul, though it might be better if someone who hasn't recently threatened him asks. ]

[He's already talked to Ghoul and is satisfied he doesn't know anything, but he'd be damn curious to hear about how Cas threatened him.]

Not with any real certainty, which is distressing in and of itself.
