[ Donna looks and sounds exhausted. ] Is everyone safe and sound and in one piece? So much for the epic plan to get us all home... Speaking of which, has anyone seen the Doctor? He disappeared. Like, literally, vanished...

Maybe it worked? Maybe he got outta here. I reckon it's more likely our not so pleasant hosts snatched his skinny butt though...

Does anyone need plasters or bandages or tea?

Well I guess that depends on your definition of fun, sweetheart.

Beautiful girls and boys coupled with alcohol. I also tend to like party streamers.

Not so sure I can help with the party streamers but there's plenty of eye candy.

I've seen. Tell me, does crippling issues run throughout the people here? Because it's a weakness, let me tell you.

It's a possibility, but not as far as I know.

We have a serious collection of angry people here. I'm more than a little concerned it'll be Fight Club all the time.

We're not allowed to talk about it. First rule! [ She laughs. ] But in all serious, most people have refrained from attacking each other so far.

Good to know. I'm not really one for fisticuffs. [ His gaze flickers across the room, not in any sinister way but he's curious. ] Someone lived here before, didn't they? Before anyone arrived in the town.

It seems that way, yeah. [ Donna nods. She still remembers how it had been when they arrived. Houses a mess, half eaten meals on the tables. Whoever had been here before left in a hurry. ]

I often wonder what happened to them...

[ He nods at that. ]

Unfortunately I've seen it happen too many times. Homes that are simply abandoned, empty chairs, empty tables, a whole life just left abandoned. It doesn't fill me with any great hope.

I just hope we don't face the same fate.

It's a disturbing thought - that those before us could have been in the same boat. Imagine if they had been brought here too, forced to settle in, live lives. And the suddenly they're gone again. It's not pleasant.

I know, right? It's kind of terrifying. I'm pretty sure I'm not cut out to be an experiment. it's like Big Brother but with less drunken shenanigans and no Davina McCall.

There's no diary room to throw things in, it's like they haven't thought this through.

The ratings must be terrible!

I'm not sure I like our fifteen minutes of fame.

And we're not even getting paid for it! I mean that's just rubbish, right? They could at least pay us for the emotional damages.

[ He angles his chair to swing back on two legs and then smiles. ]

No money, not enough food, the booze is terrible. I think we should sue.

[ Donna laughs. After all, they say if you don't laugh you'll cry. ]
