Dean Winchester | 004 | video late Day 84
How do I get in touch with Mr. Sandman to tell him to get out of my freaking head?
[ Good evening, Cape Kore. Dean's been talking to some of his housemates and has put enough together to know that something weird's going on in Dreamland. ]
Whoever's snorting the dream dust, knock it off. And none of you are invited to my head, so keep out.
[ Running around in Charlie's dreams not too long ago was too much like what's going on now, though one weird thing sticks out. Well, weirder. ]
Whose fault is that city made out of rock candy? [ Or crystals. ] Can't you dream up people with faces next time?

[She doesn't look terribly thrilled with the situation, herself -- though addressing Dean in the first place is enough to put her in a sour mood these days, considering the company he's been keeping.]
I don't think invitations matter much, Deano.

Maybe if I say it loud enough, it'll reach through to dream land. How's it on your end? You getting the same thing?
no subject
[Which, on that note, she really hopes he doesn't end up stepping into her dreams somehow, because that would be all kinds of embarrassing, considering he's the subject of at least one or two.]
I saw my dad. It was one of mom's dreams.

He winces for her and ducks his head. ]
Good dream? [ Doesn't make it hurt any less, but it does make a difference. ]
no subject
[Better to focus on that than the stuff that's potentially mortifying.]
She was dreaming about him coming back from that job.
[You know the one, Dean.]
no subject
Right. One of those good until you wake up dreams.

[She withholds a sigh, pressing her lips together.]
What about you? Seen anything interesting?

His own dreams haven't been pretty either, and he wonders if that's because Cas hasn't been around to creep properly and keep them clean for him. His hesitation is plain, and he eyes her before he gives his head a small shake. ]
Nothing worth a sharing circle. [ Hunter talk for it's better if he doesn't talk about it. ]
I'm going to try some hex bags, see if that doesn't help, if we can find the stuff anyway. You want to be on lookout for supplies? Figure we gotta stock up you, your mom, me, the Cas's, M-- [ Whoops. ] Meg, and some extras maybe for people around town.
no subject
Sure. Just let me know what you need.
[All hex bags were a little different, after all, and that's one thing she'd never become proficient in. She pauses, fighting the urge to frown when he says Meg's name.]
If they help at all, it's worth the effort.

These guys have to be using magic to get our juices flowing like this, right?
no subject
[Magic, or maybe angels could have been responsible, but they were suffering from the overlapping dreams, too.]
And whatever it is, this magic is powerful enough to work on angels and demons, so it's gonna take some heavy-duty mojo to ward it off.

One thing I know is that on the other end of this somewhere are some guys in lab coats. [ Guy-shaped things, anyway. ] And that's good enough for me. We just gotta get our hands on one of 'em somehow.
no subject
[Because if it is? She and Dean might have their differences right now, but he's family all the same, and she wants to be counted in on that particular family outing.]
If we can get a hold of one of them, we could get all kinds of answers that have been giving people the slip since they got here.

Though that Stane guy, the one claiming to be mayor, gives me the creeps.
no subject
[She shifts uncomfortably.]
Common sense and all. Know anything about him, other than the fact that he's supposedly mayor?
no subject
Let's try to keep an eye on him. Maybe you can sweet talk something out of him.
no subject
You askin' me to use my feminine wiles on him?
no subject
Well, I'm certainly not gonna use mine.
no subject
Alright. We won't take that option off the table, anyway.
no subject
You're a trooper, Jo.
