[ There's only so much exploration a man can do before he either gets eaten by a mechanical bear, or uses up one of his own precious bullets by shooting himself. So when the feed starts he seems agitated, a poker chip being flipped up into the air by his free hand and then caught again. ]

So I've learnt a lot since I first arrived. I know we have clubs and town halls and all manner of ... ne'er do well people lurking on the horizon. I've seen wolves and heard about the sea monster and watched the lot of you panic like headless chickens the minute your beauty sleep was invaded. I've gathered enough information for a bloody lonely planet guide and yet -.

[ The poker chip goes into the air again, the gold edges catching on the evening light from the window behind him. ] And yet I haven't the faintest clue what you do for fun. I've been here twelve days - almost a fortnight - and the opportunity to crack a smile is so rare I feel we all require some form of narcotic. [ If Arthur were here he'd fit right in. Eames likes to imagine that by now he'd be wearing a bear skin suit and ordering him around. Perhaps he shouldn't think about Arthur and sumptuous fur, actually. That way danger lies. ]

Please tell me there's something you're all hiding. Even if it is narcotics.

Oh. [ He flicks the poker chip again, then catches it in his hand, holds it up between his fingers. ]

We've got a game running here. Nothing fancy, but we always welcome new players.

How often do you play?

As often as possible, when there's some interest in it. We wager for items rather than money -- cigarettes, food, that kinda thing.

You'll keep me in mind then? [ A sly smile. ] I've been rationing the old smokes. At least I'll have something to use.

You've probably already guessed this, but the fact that you have cigarettes at all would make you a very honored guest, as far as our game goes.

Mm. Your partner became my new best friend the minute he saw I had them. [ Thankfully he's been rationing them due to that very reason alone. ]
