[ The video comes on at a rather awkward angle, namely a slightly out-of-focus close-up of the small of someone's back, white t-shirt rucked up to show blurry tattooed skin. This is accompanied by audio, of course, which currently consists of a lot of cursing in both English and a language that might sound Slavic to anyone familiar with such things, while the person struggles with their position. Then the video shuts off again.

When it comes back, the position is really no less awkward, looking upward from somewhere near hip level, but there's finally a face to go with the voice - a face with a split lip, a black eye, and a scowl - before there's a growl and another minute of darkness and--
]

Take me out to the middle of nowhere. Leave me in the tíživý handcuffs. Very funny, vy kusy dreka.

[ The camera is finally in front of him, taking in a glare and an angry show of just slighty too-sharp teeth. ]

What is this, then? Exile? Prison camp? One joke about animal control, Sheriff, and I swear. I will rip your ničvredenný face off. Give you a legitimate reason for this-- [ He sways a little, expression going a bit unfocused, tired even, and he pauses to collect himself before the rest comes out quieter, more matter-of-fact than energetically enraged. ] The Senate still votes tomorrow, with or without me. Branka can stand in my place. She's good, fierce... [ He trails off as his free hand gingerly touches the back of his head and he winces, the process of sitting himself down on the ground a bit too heavy. ] Úprimně? Just once, if I could be taken into custody without being concussed.

[ There's only so much exploration a man can do before he either gets eaten by a mechanical bear, or uses up one of his own precious bullets by shooting himself. So when the feed starts he seems agitated, a poker chip being flipped up into the air by his free hand and then caught again. ]

So I've learnt a lot since I first arrived. I know we have clubs and town halls and all manner of ... ne'er do well people lurking on the horizon. I've seen wolves and heard about the sea monster and watched the lot of you panic like headless chickens the minute your beauty sleep was invaded. I've gathered enough information for a bloody lonely planet guide and yet -.

[ The poker chip goes into the air again, the gold edges catching on the evening light from the window behind him. ] And yet I haven't the faintest clue what you do for fun. I've been here twelve days - almost a fortnight - and the opportunity to crack a smile is so rare I feel we all require some form of narcotic. [ If Arthur were here he'd fit right in. Eames likes to imagine that by now he'd be wearing a bear skin suit and ordering him around. Perhaps he shouldn't think about Arthur and sumptuous fur, actually. That way danger lies. ]

Please tell me there's something you're all hiding. Even if it is narcotics.

I must say that I have found the process of dreaming to be an interesting experience. I did not think that once I had returned to my normal state after having been human I would be able to experience it again, though other people's dreams was not something I anticipated.

[Daneel's manner is, as always, solemn, but he seems to have a certain extra weight to his words today. He has a serious matter to address.]

To anyone whose dreams I may have intruded upon, I beg your pardon.

[With that out of the way, he straightens.]

I have always considered humanity to be something other than myself, and something greater. There are a number of traits I have thought myself incapable of, but now I am not certain of that. A redefinition is necessary. I have an important question, and if anyone can spare the time to answer it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Namely, how would you define a sentient being that could be referred to as a person?

[Welcome to the semi-smiling visage of Riley, Kore.]

Hey. It's me, obviously. Um, I was just thinking since there's new people arriving here and I know I haven't actually gotten to meet about half of the people currently here, maybe we could have a sort of... bake out?

I'm planning on going fishing today, so I could plan to grab enough for anyone wanting to come. I'd really like to see who's here that's willing to try to get together to figure out what exactly is going on and what we intend to do about it. We might be stuck here, but there's no reason we have to be secluded while we are.

[Except for hunters. Dean, this means you.]

I just think we might want to start acting a little more like we're all stuck here together instead of having ulterior motives or ones that, you know, completely screw with people when they go and do things by themselves.

[This might be directed at the Doctor and anyone involved with the event that had her freaking out like any animal during an earthquake/natural disaster. She was very not happy with you.]

It may be ridiculous to ask, but, hey, why not, right? If anyone wants to come, please do. If not, that's just more fish for me.

Well, clearly somebody skipped the lesson on matching our accessories. [ The disembodied voice, with just the hint of several different countries in its depths, is joined by the blur of black and white mesh before it focuses on the deeply unhappy face of one Magnus Bane. To the untrained he looks normal - well, normal for a given use of the word - coloured skin and gold-green eyes. Of course, there's the glitter adorning those eyelids, and the hue of his lipstick to contend with but come on, it's the twenty-first century. He has a reputation to uphold.

To those of a more supernatural persuasion Magnus is more Chesire like. In that those eyes are shaped like a cats and flash when he moves as though light has been shone into his face.

Whoever thought that dragging me from my planned alcohol induced revelry was a good idea - it wasn't. Next time how about a nice RSVP. One of those little envelopes gilded in gold. Or sent with a goody bag. I like bonbons. In fact I only party with people who like bonbons. If you don't there's something deeply disturbing about you and I suggest you see a psychiatrist immediately. Or phone up the late-night psychics. Mistress Night read my palm once. [ A grin. ] And other places. My future's very bright.

[ A pause, and then the smirk drops off his face. ] Come on faceless and mysterious message givers, I haven't got all day. I have a nice loft all of my own and while your hospitality is interesting there are still several bars in Brooklyn that require my ability to drink them dry.

[ Who dares disturb the High Warlock, indeed. ]

[ Good morning, Vietkore! Let us bring in the sun with a vampire. A vampire who is definitely not in South Wales anymore.

Having had the better part of two days to absorb this new and unsettling problem, he might have time to make the requisite Wizard of Oz reference except for having only the barest idea where Kansas is, and being in no way equipped for that joke anyway. It's for the best, he'd just have something snide to say about the Gold Standard and heavy-handed metaphors.

the surprise of the week is that i never heard the sound )

[ Because she's still trying to get the hang of this thing (she much prefers to talk to people face to face if she's going to talk to them), Elizabeth's expression is determined and a little frustrated when she comes on the recording. It takes a moment - and then she figures out that she's recording and looks pleased with herself. ]

Hello. [ A pause, as she pulls the camera back away from her face. ] My name is Elizabeth. I've met a fair few of you, before. [ She speaks a little louder than she would normally, if only because she's so used to the distant and crackling way recordings generally sound in her time. ] I haven't been able to find a way out, like I promised, but what I can do is try to help in the best way that I can.

[ She has no idea how she's going to show this, since she has to use both hands to open the tears - so she doesn't quite yet. Instead, she begins to pace, walking slowly back and forth along the sand of the beach. ] Is there anything that the people here need? Supplies, maybe, such as bandages or ammunition. Or anything, really. I can bring it through.

I can't exactly promise that all of it will be in good condition, or that I'll find it at all, but I have to do something.
