[ Because she's still trying to get the hang of this thing (she much prefers to talk to people face to face if she's going to talk to them), Elizabeth's expression is determined and a little frustrated when she comes on the recording. It takes a moment - and then she figures out that she's recording and looks pleased with herself. ]

Hello. [ A pause, as she pulls the camera back away from her face. ] My name is Elizabeth. I've met a fair few of you, before. [ She speaks a little louder than she would normally, if only because she's so used to the distant and crackling way recordings generally sound in her time. ] I haven't been able to find a way out, like I promised, but what I can do is try to help in the best way that I can.

[ She has no idea how she's going to show this, since she has to use both hands to open the tears - so she doesn't quite yet. Instead, she begins to pace, walking slowly back and forth along the sand of the beach. ] Is there anything that the people here need? Supplies, maybe, such as bandages or ammunition. Or anything, really. I can bring it through.

I can't exactly promise that all of it will be in good condition, or that I'll find it at all, but I have to do something.

[ She doesn't look very pleased at his tone of voice. Excuse you. ] Tears. I listed a few things I can bring through very clearly, mister. I don't know what a deet is, but I certainly will not cough one up.

Details. When you say anythin', do you actually mean anythin'? The hell is a tear? How can you get this stuff where no one else can? Explain your shit.

[ Can people do that? He bets people can do that. ]

[ She can! ] I thought it might be. I - don't know if I'm going to... abracadabra it in, but I can start with that. Let me look. [ And now she's looking for a tear in which she can bring food from. ] Did you have anything in mind, mister... ?

[He's not sure how, exactly, she intends to do that, but he has something in mind.]

Could you bring cigarettes through?

Now that is something I can do. [ She doesn't have any idea what a deet or a Cheeto is but she sure can bring cigarettes through. ] If you'll only give me a moment, Meyer, I'll do my best.

[ There's a few tears in the general store that she can manipulate that she'd seen earlier. ] Would you meet me at the general store?

What do you mean you can bring it through?

[A pause, and then he rattles off a list, just in case this demon woman really can make objects appear]

Explosives. Rope. A remote detonator. A guymelef.

I can - [ But he rattles off a list and she stops, then frowns deeply. ] I should have mentioned I won't bring weapons, sir. There's no need for any violence. [ She's just assuming a guymelef is a weapon, she has no idea what that is. ]

I can bring through rope, but I can't imagine what you would have need of it for.

[A dark-haired lady with a black cat on her shoulders, and an accent she'd term as British, considers that offer for a curious — and wary — moment. "Bring it through." If this young lady wasn't careful, people were going to accuse her of working with their captors. Fortescue bites her lower lip, thoughtful, before responding with a video.]

And where is it that you bring them from?

[ It's something that hasn't even occurred to her that someone might think she was working for the scientists. She's so entirely against them that it seems like a crazy idea. Elizabeth fiddles with her communicator, wary now that she knows it's public. ]

Another world. Or - a world parallel to this one, in a way. There are thousands of them, with little things that are changed, where one thing had happened while another had not. All I have to do is find the one that has what I need.

[That is interesting. Balthazar could probably come up with a thing or two he'd love to have here, but it would be foolish to forget the kind of scrutiny they're under.]

I recommend you use that talent sparingly, love. If our captors decide it's making things too easy on us, chances are you'll be the one to pay the price.

[ She looks a little startled at that. ] Would they really do that? [ Not that it matters, she's going to do whatever she can to help anyway. She's silent for a moment, and then her expression hardens. ] I'm not afraid of them. Could I bring something through for you, sir?

Wait -- you can use the tears?

[ She looks a little amused. ] Yes, I can. Did I not tell you that?

I'm not sure how you mean to get them, but having a stock of basic medical supplies on hand seems like a very good idea. People seem to keep showing up here injured.

Yes, I had planned to find some manner of medicine kits above all else. Food, as well. I had only wondered if there may have been some people who had other requests.

Well, if we can't get out I guess bandages is everything we need. [ 100% sarcasm, 100% not happy, 100% this is not going to be a great conversation? ]

[voliere]

[ She hears that sarcasm, wrinkling her nose a little. ] If we're trapped, the only thing we can do is find the means to survive until a way opens up.

[Balthazar has a valid point about risking her abilities being limited, and actually, if he really wanted it he could magic it up for himself, but a little levity never hurt anyone, right?]
