Third Drink | Video | Day 97
[Ellen doesn't look real happy. She's not, but normally she's a bit better at hiding it.]
New batch is out of the still but it's weaker than the last one. If anyone wants a bottle, stop by and pick it up.
[She sips water out of a glass. She's got other things to say.]
We're going to need things to run through the still. Rice, oats, cornmeal, frozen fruit, anything that can be run through the still.
If you find anything in the forest, dandelions can be used to make wine, too.
[She almost turns it off, but stops for a second.]
Also, got a haunch of venison, if anyone's willin' to trade for it.

[And holy water.]
Doesn't matter. I promised Dean I'd stay out of their house, as long as she stayed out of mine.
[She kept to her side of the bargain.]

[The shrug is implied. You didn't heal Jo. You she won't spill to. See what special privileges Raphael gets?]
no subject
[Despite everything he's done, though, he's still a coward over things like this. Ellen is no threat to him, he knows that. Even Dean doesn't really worry him. But taking a side on this issue when he has nothing to gain from it - it doesn't matter whether or not he's comfortable with what certainly looks like torture. Doesn't matter that he's gotten kind of fond of Meg, in an antagonistic kind of way. Doesn't matter that she means an awful lot to Castiel. What matters is that siding with either Meg or Ellen could have further-reaching implications than he's willing to risk. Easier to just stay out of it - comme d'habitude.]
Next time I have any trouble with one, I'll make sure and take it out for shots at the local bar instead of resorting to fisticuffs straightaway.

She likes Cas and loves Dean, but that doesn't negate what Meg did. There are some things that Ellen just can't forgive.]
Bring 'em here. I'll save a bottle of moonshine for 'em.

[Vicious woman that she is.]

[It's a casual reminder that he's not one of them. He's certainly not one to judge her for torture, it's not that, but the friend of his enemy is - until proven otherwise - suspicious. He doesn't know what (if anyting) Meg's done to her, but he knows Ellen's a friend of Dean's. He's done enough to Dean in the past that he's a little wary of finding himself in Meg's shoes one of these days.]
What with the pest control services and the bartending and the moonshine supply and all, that is. It's very altruistic of you.
no subject
[Aaand she walks right into that one.
She doesn't consider Gabe an enemy and she's willing to keep the peace. For now. Dean's a big boy and can handle himself. Stay away from Jo, and they're fine. She draws some pretty easy boundaries. Hell, she's nice to Raphael.]
Gotta do something to pass the time.
no subject
Yeah? Well, friends or not, anyone who so much as talks to me has a good chance of getting lucky... if you're interested.
[Cue eyebrow-waggling and smirking.]
And it'll help pass the time, too.
no subject
Ya know, Lucifer and Raphael didn't strike me as so infantile.
[Now she's irritated. And she just doesn't have time for your shit, Gabe.]
No thanks. I got better ways of spending my time.
no subject
[No offence.]
no subject
[She doesn't really like either of them.]

[She's been focused. For a long time.]
no subject
[What? They're his brothers, he can be childish if he likes.]
no subject
[Nope. She's in a mood.]

[He did know, vaguely. In all honesty, though, he hadn't been paying all that much attention - he certainly doesn't know the details, beyond that Team Free Will had made a misguided attempt to stop Lucifer, and that two of them had died doing it. He'd mostly been staying out of the way. Lucifer had taught him most of what he knew about hiding: getting too close was a risk he wasn't willing to take just for the sake of observing.]
But I didn't think you were exactly pleased with him, no. Just pointing out that there really is something wrong with him being quite so single-minded about his life's work, at least from your perspective.
no subject
[She has that amount of separation now.]
Besides, nothin' I can do about it here. Or there for that matter.

no subject
[She sighs.]
You don't really believe that, do you?
no subject
[He'll assume the former, and continue on the basis of that without ... actually waiting for an answer.]
He's been MIA about a month now. If he's still around here and just... [in agonising pain and/or the kind of captivity Gabriel knows he loathes] in custody, he'll be seriously pissed when he gets back. It's best if he's gone home.
[For everyone else, ostensibly. Best for Lucifer is higher on Gabriel's list of priorities most of the time, though.]
no subject
[Because she can't guess any different.]
I'll send a bottle of moonshine with Balthazar when he shows up.
