[ The face of one redhead that you might have seen before (but not for a few days). One that looks just a little freaked out (though is that any different to her regular face here?) ]

I don't know what's worse. Coming back here or what I came from.

[ It's not really the kind of thought you want to hear, or echo, but it's what she's wondering. It's what's on her mind, anyway.

It's late. She's been back for a few hours, and after getting back to her house and room she's tried to see (at least externally) what's changed. It doesn't look like a lot but: ]

I don't suppose that anything's changed around here? A mall opening, or a permanent door out? Or even less monsters.

[ Because please, there's enough back home without everything in the woods ]

Against my younger brother, and his supporters. Who else is civil war against?

[ By it's nature, it's family against family. ]

He's attempting to take over, and I will not abandon my Throne.

[ There's a faint infliction to how he says 'Throne', as if even in his speak, it's capitalized. ]

Your people. I wouldn't have said family.

[ Not immediately, anyway ]

Your Throne. You're a king?

[ Everyone else were charges. ]

Myself and the three other eldest would best be called Princes.

Princes of where?

Heaven.

[ After everything this shouldn't be her question, but it is: ]

You're serious?

Yes, I am.

So you rule over Heaven. Or are trying to. Isn't that supposed to be someone else's job?

[ He bites off the word. It's brittle. Just like any other child who has grown up with a absent or deadbeat dad. ]

-left. Michael, Gabriel, and I ran things, then just Michael and I after Gabriel left. Now it's just me.

[ Processing. Processing ]

What happened to the others?

Yes, God. The Four of us, we were meant to serve before the Throne. Lucifer Rebelled, God abandoned us. Gabriel ran away. Michael is trapped, I'm trying to rescue him, but that's difficult with a war raging. We take care of the rest of them.

[ Big brothers are supposed to take care of their younger ones. ]

That sounds like a big job. Especially alone.

[ There's a split second where Raphael's eyes widen, his jaw draws up tight, and his head cocks to the side slightly.

His brothers don't seem to understand that. But a human does? ]

It is.

How do you do it? What do you even have to do? [ It's Heaven, okay. It could be different ]

I do it because it must be done.

[ It is and it isn't. ]

I lead the Host of Heaven, which you could call being the interim Commander in Chief, as my brother is currently unable. I mange Heaven, which is a world unto itself. Watch over humanity, try to keep them from destroying each other. Work with the Fates to keep everything in track. Fight demons so that they cannot take over the Earth.

[ Does it sound like far too much for one? Because it is. ]

[ It does. She can't really sympathise or understand, but she'll talk ]

The Fates? Like destiny? [ She hadn't expected that, nor demons. Talking about Heaven, and God... him being a child of God. It was more than werewolves and hunters. If they existed more could, and apparently did for him ]

So we're preset?

Yes, the same.

[ Most people who knew about supernatural things didn't believe angels existed, he wasn't surprised. Or offended. ]

There is a Plan. We keep it on track. For most people? It doesn't affect them, as the Plan is the big picture. Some people play minor roles and we nudge them. Others play a much larger role. But humans have Free Will and so, mostly, they control their actions. We however can travel through time, can see the past and future, and plan accordingly.

[ So yes and no. ]

[ That was a little reassuring, at least compared to not having any free will. She's hoping that she's one of those unaffected people. Except she might start to doubt that ]

What if people don't want to be nudged?

What will be, will be. If they cannon be persuaded, then alternatives are found.

[ Do your part or be replaced. It's cold, but not meant cruelly. ]

Alternative? So even though people can be destined for something that can change - someone else can do the part?

[ Huh. That... was unexpected. She'd expected a little more force than an alteration ]

How often does it change?

Most of the time yes. But redundancies are always planned.

[ Although "force" was relative - Lucifer understood cohesion and consent better than Michael did, certainly. ]

Not often. Just once in recent history.

What happened? How did it change?

He was selfish and prideful, similar traits to one of my older brothers. He decided what he wanted was the most important factor in the world, regardless of the cost.

[ He hates Dean quite a lot. ]

We grew tired of his impertinence and recklessness.

Did you make him do whatever he was supposed to do?

No. His younger brother took over his duties for him.
