Martha's 3rd - Video/Action - Day 98

[To anyone who has been to the clinic when it was still there, that's where you'll see Martha when the video opens up.]

In an attempt to be of some use around here, I'm opening up the clinic again. I have my credentials from Royal Hope Hospital in London circa 2008. I also have experience treating non-humans thanks to some travel in both time and space. Most recently, I have gained experience as a field medic.

For anyone who has been seeing Dr. Barrett as your physician while here on this island, you may keep seeing her. But more doctors are always helpful.

If you have any questions or would like to sit for a physical, you may talk to me here or come visit the clinic. If not, that's perfectly fine too.

[Of course, baseline physicals would be much better, but she's not going to push anyone. Martha wants to be trusted above anything else.]

[He shakes his head.] Not that I'm aware of, but I'm happy to roll bandages. I've had some recent lessons in medicinal plants, as well. I've been doing some foraging. If there's anything you want to stock, I'll gather it if I see it.

Yes, I've been warned. I doubt anyone will come for a physical, but I wanted to leave the option open. Want to let people know there are doctors if they are in danger.

Oh! Medicinal plants would actually be helpful. If we're not going to have plenty of medicines around, might as well see what we can do naturally.

[He's talked to Dr. Barrett about this, as well, not all that long ago. For the sake of pragmatism, he's attempting to be part of the solution this time, rather than the problem.] I've talked a couple people into monitoring the network for injured new arrivals. It's good to know there's a place to take them. Are there actual beds in the clinic?

And good. I'll check with my brother and see what I can round up. If you run out of disinfectant, Ellen Harvelle has been brewing up moonshine. She might donate to a worthy cause.

We have some cots. [In fact, Martha had taken a quick nap on one the night before. Not enough to make her look well rested, but enough to keep her going.]

Moonshine, good. Anything with alcohol is good really.

[It's a mark of what she's been through that Martha doesn't view the idea of using moonshine as a bad thing.]

It's a bit like being a doctor in the old American West, I suppose, but perhaps things will improve.

Sounds like you know her. I like to do the asking myself, but if it'll sound better coming from you, the supplies is more important.

Oh, she'll probably be happy to hear from you, so if you'd rather handle it yourself, you may as well. Ellen's very practical. As long as you're not a demon, you'll get on fine with her.
