Martha's 6th - Open Voice/Action - Day 110

Is everyone OK. Clinic made it through OK. If you need a doctor, let me know where you are. I'll be there as soon as I possibly can. Also, be careful of aftershocks.

Action

[Martha had been in the clinic when the earthquake came. Once she realized what actually was happening, she braced herself under a door frame until the shocks were over.]

[Once they were over, she put out the message about help and packed her medkit. She began making her way through the town, looking for those she could help.]

No. My friend tried to escape. It didn't go well...

It's like rats though. Keep messing with them and they'll act out. Badly...

[Meja frowns thoughtfully, flexing her left hand.]

Perhaps they want to see how we act badly. Gauge our... unique skills at doing so.

[There are many different kinds of people in the Cape.]

[Martha stops and thinks about this. She immediately begins cataloguing all her actions.]

Well, that will make me paranoid for the rest of my time here. I hope they don't know what we're thinking.

If they could do that, I doubt they'd bother with all of the cameras.

[It's a simple enough logic, but Meja isn't entirely convinced and it shows in her tone. After all, if they're thorough scientists, they'll want photographic proof. Right? But she doesn't want Martha to live in sheer paranoia.]

[She really should sleep more. Just to show the scientists she doesn't care. Even though she does.]

Yes, the cameras are everywhere. I gave up trying to cover them. Feel a bit sorry for zoo animals though.

At least most zoo animals don't understand their purpose.

[She has no way of knowing if her zoo animals are the same as Martha's, after all, and there are 'zoos' on Asgard and Midgard.]

This is true. Zoo animals are unaware of their purpose in life other than to breed.

[As she's looking at the rubble, her phone beeps. She listens to the message and says something back.]
