Kevin Tran | 001 | Accidental video
[ Kevin's been working for a few days without sleep on the tablet, so when he wakes up, he figures he must've just passed out from exhaustion. He gets all the way to sitting up before he realizes that he isn't in the bunker.
When the feed switches on, it starts first staring up at the ceiling, while in the background, someone is very clearly laying waste to the bookshelf in their room. Kevin steps into the frame as he swings the shelf he'd ripped out to use as a weapon, and he decides it's acceptable before he sets it down. He has a bunch of papers, and as he puts them into an empty pillowcase, the cuneiform symbols can just be seen for what they are -- that is, ancient and unreadable.
He reaches for his shelf again, and now his face fully comes into frame. He looks like a guy who hasn't slept or eaten real food in a few days, with an added couple layers of complete panic. He has no clue where he is, who might've kidnapped him, what they want to use him for, but beneath the panic there's determination.
He made it this far; he won't let them win now.
Once he realizes the phone is broadcasting, he curses loudly and switches it off.
This plan would probably have gone a lot better if he hadn't been Skyping it. ]

Once he spots Cas, he nods and starts to move over to him, but he stops a little ways in front of him. ]
That's you, right? [ He hangs back, frowning. ] Can you prove it?
no subject
It's me.
no subject
What the hell, Cas! [ And theoretically speaking, he still doesn't have definitive proof, but if he wanted to do something to Kevin, an empty hallway wouldn't have been the place he'd bring them to. ]
no subject
[ He assumes that that's enough explanation for why they had to go somewhere else. ]
Raphael, Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer are all here.
no subject
Kevin's face falls, and he tenses again. ]
Raphael and Michael already know I'm here. Is that bad?
no subject
[ He stands there looking Kevin over for a moment. ]
Are you from the same time that Dean and I are from?
no subject
no subject
I was with Metatron before I arrived here and Dean was going to stop Sam from closing the gate to Hell.
[ Either Kevin will remember or he won't. ]
no subject
Kevin's face falls, and he fidgets on his feet. ]
I-I'm from after. After all that.
[ And his expression isn't implying that it's good news. ]
no subject
Is--Are Sam and Dean okay?
[ Part of him is afraid to ask about himself, but he has to know that the Winchesters are alive. He has to know that even if he's dead that he hasn't killed them, too. ]
no subject
[ But Cas isn't, and Crowley is, and there probably isn't a way to put the angels back in Heaven, and that's all the stuff that he doesn't want to tell Cas. Maybe he shouldn't? Dean had said they're a family now; maybe he should lie to him. ]
The, um. The fallen angels are causing problems, and Abaddon's taking over Hell.
no subject
Does that mean Crowley's dead, too?
[ If Castiel really did die, he'd like to think that Crowley isn't around to hurt the Winchesters anymore, too. After everything he's done to them, it's almost a balance. ]
no subject
No. They're keeping him chained up in their dungeon, in case they can get him to be helpful. When they didn't finish the trials, they just never let him go.
no subject
He can't be trusted. Even if he helps you, don't turn your back on him.
[ Something in his voice hardens. ]
Don't let Dean forget that.
no subject
Like, Dean kicked him out of the bunker, but Cas doesn't know that. ]
Okay... I'll try. You can tell him too, you know. [ He assumes he and Dean still talk on the phone. ]
no subject
Oh. ]
I'm still alive?
no subject
Yeah, you're alive. I mean, you're human now, and -- [ He stops, closing his mouth, and then shakes that off. ]
You're alive. You work at a gas station.
no subject
Neither of us were sure. Dean was brought here before we spoke again.
no subject
He likes thinking he's a part of any kind of family these days. He'll take Cas. ]
You kind of went missing for a little while, but Dean and Sam went and found you.
no subject
I think Dean would expect me to take you back to where we live.
no subject
I don't want these falling into the wrong hands. [ His hand curls around the top of the pillowcase, tied to his belt loop. ] They're some of my notes on the -- you know.
no subject
[ Not yet, anyway. ]
