[ The transmission starts off audio, a confused voice spluttering to itself as Stiles haplessly hits buttons on his communicator. ]

Okay, well, ya said Cape Kore like that means anything to me, but here's the thing, sucker, is that I've never been to a Cape Anything. --Who even lives near a cape, I'm not a cape kind of --

[ Video! It flips over and the face jumps and makes a few surprised shapes. ]

Well. Hello, guy. That just flashed. Nine-one-one? Hello? I'm, um. I'm not living here. There's been a mistake.

- Alright, I take that back. Kraken may and probably will be thoroughly awakened.

Kinda depends on your definition of nice, I guess. Seeing her's nice enough, it's- really nice. But, uh. Hellcat-infested kidnapping's not really something I'd wish on her.

[porcelainpride]

I think she can handle it. Better than me, at any rate.

[stiling]

[ There's a fond smile on his face for a moment before he clears his throat. ]

Yeah. Anyone can punch this place in the balls, it's Lydia Martin.

Mmm-hm. [He sees that smile, Stiles.]

[stiling]

[ What is this tone, what is that tone. Stiles levels a cautious look. ]

Mmm-hm. Is right.

[porcelainpride]

[Kurt is just going to grin innocently and grill Lydia for details, later.]

[stiling]

What's, uh, what's with the smile, what's, uh. [ He gives an uncertain little laugh and rubs at his chin. ] I'm out of a loop here.

It's just so nice that there'll be some old friends here, that's all. [:D :DDDDDD]

[stiling]

[ -- he's onto him. ]

Right, yeah, totes magotes, man, just friending it up in the- in the hood. Friend-y.

If you keep saying "friend", it'll eventually lose all meaning.

Coupled with heavy sighs and mental rehearsals of what you would say if you could get your mouth to work around them?

[stiling]

Rehearsal? Man, forget that, I played the concert. But it's, y'know, a not really in the cards kinda dealio.

[ "Yet," kind of lingers in his voice unsaid. ]

[A pause, then, thoughtfully--] Well, that's a lie. My first crush ended up becoming my stepbrother. That's fairly impossible.

[stiling]

The very worst part is it was my fault. I set our parents up.

[Pause, wherein Kurt realizes how...insane that sounds...] ...in my defense I was very young.

[stiling]

[ Stiles pauses a moment before he gives a half a laugh. ]
