[Action] Arrival post
[Threads in this post take place at (or at least start at) the center of town around the fountain. If you would like to address the network or have your character wake up somewhere else, feel free to make your own post in the appropriate community.
In this post, please feel free to have characters jump around. If your character moves threads and it's relatively continuous, please link the earlier thread to the later one and try to follow a tag order/try not to cram too many people into one thread. Please refer to the information post in the OOC comm for anything you might need and feel free to ask questions!]

She takes in their surroundings for a moment, before producing two pistols. They're old fashioned, something out of the early 1900s. And they're clearly loaded as she cocks them. But she doesn't point them at any of the people. She points them up, snarling angrily as she shouts, with a distinctively British accent:]
Baron! Baron what the bloody hell is this?
[She turns in a circle, upper lip curling slightly.]
Baron, if you don't show your face in the next two seconds, I'm going to decorate this fountain with whatever vile substance you have that passes for blood. Do I make myself clear? Are you listening to me? You can't ignore me. I have a bloody title too! I am Doctor Mina Barrett! I am the hierophant! I am the huntress! I am the--
[And as if to undercut her little tirade, a white butterfly suddenly pops off of her shoulder, seemingly out of nowhere.]
Oh hell.
[With that, she takes aim and shoots the butterfly. It explodes in a cloud of sparkling dust. Mina lets out an irritated sigh. This is not going well.]
Let these people go. And we'll talk.

"Stand down!" Her eyes widen as she smells the sea air and sees the fountain. Had she been drugged? She'd been drugged before, but- Where was Steve? Find Steve first, then worry about how to get out of here. God knew she'd just have to wait for him to show up first before getting them out of here in the first place. Again.
She keeps her gun steady on the woman with the pistols as she scans the crowd around them in her peripheral vision. Where was he?

Pulling down his mask for a better view, he stood, slack jawed at the sight before him. People, many of them, all in the very same situation as him. And over by the fountain, he quickly spotted two women aiming guns at each other. No time to stand and watch. Someone could get hurt.]
Hey! [His exclamation was followed by a whistle to grab their attention.] Hold your fire!
no subject
These won't work against him anyway. No Cold Iron bullets.
Put those things down before you embarrass yourself.
[And she turns to regard the man in the...colorful costume.]
And what are you supposed to be?
no subject
[Seeing the woman lower her guns, though, she lowers her own and even cracks a grin at the woman.] I can do more than use guns. Were you kidnapped to?
[Not that Sharon will necessarily believe her if she says she was. It could be a ruse, after all. But getting more information from the woman might help Sharon, especially if the woman slips up.]
no subject
I'm Captain America. [He then turned to Sharon, but didn't seem to recognize her.] ... Or, uh, Steve.
[He cocked a brow.] Have we met?
no subject
[Americans are so odd. At least the military is something she can understand. But Mina's already putting on her "large and in charge" attitude.]
A pleasure, but let's save the introductions for later, shall we? We're out in the open. Completely exposed to ranged attacks. Our first priority is getting all these people out of here before they're picked off like pigeons.
no subject
[She listens to the new woman. Never mind Steve for now. They'll fix him. They'll find a way. Right now, the mission comes first.]
I don't think we'd have been gathered here just to be picked off - if they wanted that, they'd have killed us while we were unconscious. But we should see who's in the houses, if they're able to help and possibly provide medical aid, and secure the perimeter.
[She nods to the woman.] You want people or perimeter?
[Sharon will double-check everything behind the woman, of course. She still doesn't trust her. But the way the woman is trying to take charge is promising. At least the woman isn't panicking.]
[She looks over to Steve.] See who else is here, would you? If Dr. Strange is around, he might know what's going on. [And it would keep him around people who might be able to protect him if something goes wrong. She looks around for any of the other Secret Avengers. Or Avengers at all. She might not trust them in a general sense, but she trusts them to look after Steve most of the time.]
no subject
[Steve's never heard of a "Dr. Strange," but he figures with a name like that, he might not be hard to find if he's present among them. He'd rather find a familiar face though -- someone like Agent Romanoff, Barton, or Thor. Hell, he'd even settle for Stark.
He hesitates for a moment, wondering why this woman feels so damn familiar to him. And why she knows his real name. But there isn't time and he's still got no idea what's going on.]
Understood. I'll gather anyone who might have information. [He gives her a curt nod and paces off to see who else he can find.]
no subject
[She tucks one of her guns away, holding onto the other.]
Most of them look like civilians. We should conserve firepower. We don't know how much we have.
Doctor Barrett, by the way. Mina Barrett. We can use them to run communications if need be. Giving people a task will help keep them coordinated.
no subject
Steve, while looking for people, you think you can handle giving them something to do? [He has field experience from the War, after all. It comes in handy every now and then.]
no subject
Yeah, I'll try to get everyone organized. Have you contacted HQ?
no subject
[She smirks.]
"Hell is empty and all the devils are here."
no subject
Comms are missing, Steve. Barrett might not have been entirely poetic about it, but she's right. We're our only back-up. See who you can find. I'll clear some places for people to stay.
[Gun drawn, she presses herself flat against the wall next to the door. She knocks, and after a couple seconds of silence, she turns the knob, frowning when it gives. She slides inside without looking back.]
