This is Phil Coulson. In an effort to keep organized and assess the situation, I'd like to try to get a rundown of everyone here. If I could get everyone to check in with me and let me know what sort of skills they might have, I would really appreciate that. Anything from medical knowledge to combat to cooking or carpentry could be useful and I would love some help with all this clerical stuff.

I'll be in the general store taking inventory if you prefer that to these communicators.

I'm Elle Bishop. Do you have clothes in the general store in my size because there's nowhere to really go shopping here? [And she isn't sure she can get away with breaking into places. She's not sure who's on the other side of the cameras.]

Oh oh does this mean we can't rob and loot anymore. I was espically fond of the robbing part. And the getting of free DVDs.

I don't really see any clothes, but there were clothes in the house I'm staying in. If you can't find any on your own, I can try to help you find some.

Do skills that are useful back home necessarily still count as useful here?

[Bruce turns up at the general store, hanging back first to make sure there's no one else in there first. This Sharon person seems okay and all so far, but Bruce doesn't know her, and his thin trust in the government is even thinner there. The only other people he knows are Natasha -- which, probably better if he doesn't go there... -- and Clint, who's still addled. That leaves Phil. Phil had seemed pretty cool on the helicarrier; he'd heard about his trading cards, and while that had been sad emotionally in the aftermath of his death, now it's an appealing footnote to what he knows of Phil's character.]

Already running a census?

I've never done speed dating myself, but if it's like the last 24 hours, I'm not so sure I want to.

I would really love the help with taking inventory, if you'd be willing, though.

You came with a crossbow, so I'm assuming you've got some useful skills in there. That or you've just shot yourself in the foot and I should come home and bandage that for you.

[And by that, he means that he really hopes he can pawn some of this stuff off onto Donna.]

Dangit, Phil! I do not need your expert bandage skills! But if you find any bandaids of the hello kitty variety, I think you should bring them back with you ... not for me. For... Steve.

I can pick locks, pockets, and occasionally winning horses at the race track. Also yes, crossbow proficiency and ninja sword badassery and asskicking in general. Also I'm a great listener.

Yeah, I know how much Captain Rogers loves Hello Kitty. It's in his file and everything.

[And he already found those, so now they will be Kenzi's!]

Some of these might be more useful than others. [There's a hint of a smile in his voice.] Badassery is especially important. And the listening. Do you mind if I ask what the crossbow training was for? I don't know a lot of people who use them.

She did, yeah, and Dr. Jones. We're organizing a clinic, and I'll be keeping in touch with Director Carter of SHIELD.

[There are almost air quotes around her name. He eases his way closer to Phil, walking slowly, vaguely reminiscent of an animal sniffing out whether a new place or person is safe.]

She said that you don't know her. Is that right?

My previous roomie was kind of really against letting me use guns and thought medieval weaponry was somehow safer? Whatever the reason, we had a wide variety of weapons all over the house and when we didn't have cases, shiz got boring, so we trained. I gave my knife to Kurt, but I can use those, too. And axes. And one time I had a bludgeoning club, that was fun. I really miss my sword...

Uh... we... did it for science?

[Phil pops his head up from the dairy aisle.]

Donna? I'm Phil. Nice to meet you.

Does your skill set involve breaking and entering, by any chance?

[He honestly can't tell if she's lying or just a huge D&D nerd.]

Uhuh. What's your favorite class to play in 3.5?

[The obvious way to answer that question.]

So, where d'you want me to start?

Not a clue, but she knows all of us. She was supposedly temporarily in charge of SHIELD on her world.

[He puts down the list he's writing and turns his attention fully to Bruce.]

I told her I'd back her play, but I'm only backing plays I agree with and I'd recommend you do the same. She seems fine so far, but that doesn't mean she is. In the meantime, I'm glad we've got you here for medical, at least.
