Oh, uh...
[Hello, Kore. Amidst the influx of new arrivals is Chuck. He's got short, curly brown hair and a beard. He also looks incredibly baffled as he squints down at the communicator on his wrist. He's outside, and his free hand is shielding his eyes from the sun. He doesn't appear to be someone who's used to being outside very often. Or like, at all.
He seems to be surprised that he's gotten the communicator working. He also seems confused as to who, exactly, he's talking to. But that doesn't stop him from stuttering on anyways.]
Sorry, I--I'm not exactly sure I know exactly were I am? Well, I mean... Cape Kore, obviously, but, uh... I mean, I was just in Ohio.
[He's smart enough that he knows that wherever Cape Kore is, it's certainly not in Ohio. He looks a little lost and confused for a second before a thought occurs to him.]
Was it---is this the angels? They did this, didn't they? They're the only ones who could do this, right? [And yet, even that didn't add up because,] I thought the Apocalypse was over!
[Chuck drags a hand down his face. He's not a Winchester. This isn't a life he's suited for. He's just a writer.]

She stares at the floor a little longer, scuffs her foot lightly and then turns to carry on with the tea. It gives her something to do, at least. Hopefully avoid any questions, because she still can't quite explain why she pulled the human act on arrival. Safety, maybe. Wishful thinking, more likely, but for whatever reason what's done is done. She told the lie, maintained the lie even when it got very difficult to uphold at times, and these days it's slipping as things become more dangerous, as she hears of people going out and getting injured and wonders where she'll draw the line, where she'll finally step up and take some responsibility and deal with her actions.
Not any time soon, certainly. ]
Thank you. It's- well. I won't bore you with the details, but thank you. It'd...complicate things, I'm sure you can imagine.
[ Finally she's done with pouring and dishing out sugar - sorry Chuck, she didn't actually ask before dumping a spoonful in there, and there's certainly nothing closely resembling milk in the house, but she's sort of focused on the topic at hand. She looks a little more comfortable when she turns around again though, slightly less nervous at least, and she holds out the cup towards him as she cups her own, apparently not bothered by the heat. Warm water ain't got nothing on angel juice, after all. ]
Last I checked, he's not made a secret of being something other than human, but only a handful know the details. Very vague. Smarter than my cover apparently, less details to keep up with.
[ Like trying to explain how the two 'men' you live with are actually your brothers - Anna hasn't touched that one with a ten foot pole. ]

And, to top it off, Anna's trapeze as a human was also fairly recent. And when she started talking about hearing the angels when they all saved Dean from Hell, they had locked her up in an mental ward, thinking her insane.
And if that's what her own, albeit human, family would do to her, he can't exactly say he blames her for not wanting to trust that with a bunch of people she doesn't even know. She doesn't need to bore him with the details because, as far as he's concerned, he already knows them.]
Oh, yeah, no. I get it. [He gives her an attempt at a smile. It's small and it's strained, but there's no denying the realness of it, beneath all of that.]
I mean, I thought I was going crazy or a god or something when I met Sam and Dean. [Is that laugh he gives slightly ironic? Only if you're looking for it.] But then Castiel showed up and said I was a prophet, and...
[And, well, sometimes he still doesn't believe it. Sometimes, when he wakes up from a vision, he still thinks they're all just figments of his imagination. That they're fictional characters and that he made them up. But then Dean will call him, or show up in his kitchen without warning and he has to defer to the reality that they're actually real. And it completely boggles his mind.
He gives her a small "thank you" when she hands the cup of tea to him, taking a sip of it. The tea is a bit sweeter than he's used to--of course, he's used to coffee and alcohol, things that are bitter and keep him awake and keep the pain at bay, not tea that might have been prepared for Gabriel--but holding the cup gives him something to do with his hands, and he's grateful for that.
He gives another nod. Balthazar and Anna are humans, Gabriel is Loki, and well, he simply won't bring up Castiel's humanity, or a lack there of. Seems easy enough to remember.]
Okay, yeah. I can do that.

I don't think you've got much to worry about there. I'm no expert but I think God would look a little less poor artist chic. [ She raises her eyebrows, and yeah this time there's definitely no hiding it. Shes teasing, just a little, but it's all good-natured at heart. Certainly easier than talking in length about the why's and why not's of her decision to lie to the town upon arrival, anyway.
Because it's more that than anything. people have been slowly finding out, the ones that count anyway. She couldn't have done much to hide it from a few - though when the other option had been leaving a friend to die, there wasn't even a thought. It only got more people as people who knew her lie and all grew closer. At what point was she supposed to draw the line, rip the band-aid off and start being honest?
There's too much grey area, and thinking about it too much manages to give her the echoes of a headache, as near as she can get anyway, so more often than not she just doesn't. An angel dealing with issues by not dealing with them at all, who would have thought. ]
Look, this place isn't fun, I'll give you that. But don't worry too much, okay? There's people here who'll have your back, and it seems to have settled down a bit for now at least.

And so he gives an actual, genuine amused smile at her teasing. Without the proper context, it's not nearly as funny, so his smile doesn't last long, but it's there, well enough. ]
Yeah, no. Sam and Dean just thought I was you know, psychic? And like... [ He makes a hand movement. ] ...super honed in on their lives. But then Castiel showed up.
[He shakes his head.] I saw it. You know, before. But, I mean... I didn't really believe it until Castiel showed up.
[Because, a prophet? Of God? Really? I mean, it was one thing, learning that Sam and Dean were real, and that all of the monsters that they faced and all the people they met were real. But a prophet?
Sometimes he still doesn't believe that it's real.
And it's hard to believe that everything will end up fine. Because all he's heard since he's arrived in Kore was about how horrible it was, and all the bad things that have happened. It's hard to worry and to think that that everything could be alright. ]
Yeah, okay. I'll, uh. I'll try.
