005 | Tony Stark | Video
[ For a fleeting moment, Tony Stark’s face fills the screen. Those who know him might recognize his piercing eyes and his immaculately kept hair, perfectly trimmed and styled to look like the dashing figure of the celebrity he is back home. Maybe his skin’s a little paler than usual. And maybe some of its imperfections are gone. But it’s difficult to tell, because it only lasts for a moment.
Two luminous, glowing red orbs suddenly fill the screen as Tony pulls the communicator closer. His lips curve into a devilishly mischievous smirk, but hidden as it as by the limitations of the camera, no one can appreciate it. When he speaks, his voice is a low, throaty purr, edged with just a hint wickedness. ]
Cape Kore. I’ve got a question for you.
[ He moves his arm, pulling it back so more of his finely muscled torso and broad shoulders can be seen. In his skin-tight tank top, there’s plenty of pale, flawless skin to behold. Slowly, he stalks from the shadows of his home’s porch into the brilliant light of the morning.
And the sun, rising over the horizon, fans rays of light over his skin, setting it alight, sparking flashes of fire like a diamond. It’s as though the man is no man at all, but a being of light, angelic and perfect. ]
Do I dazzle you?
(A/N: omg this is my first time writing one of these!! plz be gentle. my poor babu is having a bad day. it will get better tho~ ^_^)

Fair deal.
[ And then, because the thought occurs to him and he's curious, Tony vaults over the railing and drops down to the ground. Vampire, right? His body should survive the fall. ]

Tony! Are you alright?
[ The lesson learned is that Tony walks before he runs, although Steve doesn't know what the hell prompted him to think otherwise. ]

[ He is fine. The landing wasn't the most graceful, but nothing's broken and he isn't dead. He also isn't running back toward the house, but opting instead to loiter around at the bottom of the lighthouse and wait for Steve to join him. ]
Vampires are pretty indestructible. Unless you dismember them and light them on fire. I think that kills them.

[ Steve sounds exasperated, but it's only for a second. He's feeling much more pleasant when it turns out that Tony's instincts are right and that he's not hurt. ]
Anything else about your new powers you want to test while I'm here?

[ It's a joke. Mostly. Sure, there's a part of him - a teeny, tiny part - that wonders what it would feel like, but he wouldn't ever ask. ]
How about your powers? Can you grow wings and fly with them? Or is that too advanced a shapeshifting thing?

[ There are, after all, plenty of vamps to feed around here. He closes his eyes and tries to turn into a bird, but it seems to not work because he hasn't figured out that he can't turn into anything that small. But he feels the strain, a strain he doesn't have with turning into humans or even large mammals.
He thinks of other flying things, pterodactyls, angels... But he's never seen either of those in person. Well, with wings out and everything. So he doesn't have enough data, not with how much he can transform, so he seems stuck. Maybe he can find a harpy later. ]
I guess I can't.

[ And he's never going to be, either. Not if he can help it.
He is curious to see if Steve can do it, and he watches with interest as he tries. When he doesn't turn into a giant bird, or the stereotypical angel-like being, Tony shrugs. ]
Oh well. I guess it's for the best. If you were any more super, there wouldn't be any room of the rest of us.
i'm going to have to start writing these in advance
I just wanted to be healthy, wanted to be strong enough to go be a soldier, follow in my old man's footsteps. I wanted to do something worth being proud of, to help people. I didn't have anything to give but my life.
I got lucky, but it's not about what they gave me but what I can do with it.
You've got your health, you've got a heart and you've got a crazy nice suit of armor. And I think you've done a lot more than you've given yourself credit for, Tony.
You've got the means, and as long as you've got the will, I think you're super... super.
[ Ok, that ending needed some work. Steve can agree to that. ]

Super super, huh? You're just saying that because I've dazzled you.
[ He waves a hand, gesturing Steve to come with him. ]
Come on. Come to the library with me. Let's find some pictures of other stuff for you to transform into.

Okay.
[ Yeah... So, he guesses this is just one of those things that's inevitable, and follows along, glad to be talking about something else. They're both curious minds; it's a good fit. ]
