[ when the video comes on, it's on accident, and there's a moment there where the feed shakes around a bit before it jerks - almost as if someone hit it, before it tilts back to a head full of red hair and a very unamused look. ]

Not sure on what planet these kinds of kidnapping-and-drugging shenanigans are even legal, but hey, I can take a joke. You did a great job setting this up, but genre clash? Doesn't start till next month. And this whole Silent Hill thing - what did you call it, Cape Kore? - while really cool and thought out and overall A plus for effort, still not okay. Not a game, here! [ and wow, okay, flashback. why are there so many weirdos who take this game too seriously? she's really done getting kidnapped, and there's no hot fairy here. so immediate negative points. ]

The wrist communicator is really cool. Feeling a little Might Morphin, just without the ti kwan do or spandex suits. Not that I want the suits, but just, if you're going to go half-way might as well go the full way. Go big or go home. Right? [ and at this point she's just kind of babbling. someone's starting to feel really, really nervous. ] I'm serious, guys. Not funny. I just- home? Yeah? Please?

[ there's a moment where she bites her lower lip, looking off and around her - seeing only a cape and a lighthouse and totally unable to drop that 'Big Brother is Watching' feeling creeping down the back of her neck. after the moment is over, she closes her eyes, as if she's finally convincing her to say something she'd been worried about saying.

and, with her eyes closed (though her left does peek open to the camera), she continues. while she is secretly hoping no one answers this last bit because that would not be good. really really not good. ]

And Sam and Dean, if you two are here...help?

I wouldn't say that there's a flood, but we do get new people every so often. Perhaps a trickle. Most of the people here are quite decent, so you don't need to worry too much. But I would stay out of the woods, unless you're armed.

[...and even if she is, really. The woods can get exciting.]

So answering the whole 'where am I what am I doing where did my phone go' set of questions is pretty standard. [ not that she feels bad for being annoying or anything. ] What's in the woods?

Dinosaurs, dire wolves, metal bears. I really wish I was kidding about that. Luckily, if you stay out of the woods, they don't seem to follow us out.

We might be, yes. I suspect they're for keeping us pinned in here. Although the technology they employ does a far better job.

They have more tech beyond the video cameras?

There's some sort of... field keeping the more powerful of us in here, yes. And then there's grabbing different people from different worlds.

[She only really knows about the field because of it being breached by the Doctor, and collapsing. Now there had been a... 'fun' day.]

[ charlie takes a moment to talk to herself there. sorry. there's even a forehead smack because duh, of course there's some kind of 'force field' holding them all in.

[ ahhhh, okay charlie can take a hint alright. and this is a good hint. she likes this hint. and if she currently wasn't slowly working herself down off this ledge of panicking - which is much easier talking to fortescue might she add - and might have winked back. ]

Because of the force field? Or I guess this could be a whole hologram-projected-inside-a-dome scenario...

There's metal bears on one side, some sort of menace in the sea on the other, and the field overhead. It's very cozy.

I dunno if cozy is what I'd use. Maybe claustrophobic. Or caged in.

[ not that she'd mind getting cozy with you... wink wink. ]

Wait, sea menace? Oh fudge, this place keeps getting better.

It really is a lot to take in.

[She gives Charlie a sympathetic smile.]

I'd be a lot more miserable if the people weren't such good company. For the most part.

[ the smile helps, but all charlie wants to do at this point is hide. so into her hands goes her face. ]

And I had a hard time believing in monsters.

[ which, okay, kind of a lie. it's pretty easy to believe in leviathans when you watch your boss get eaten by one right before your eyes.

but no, charlie, buck up. come on. you can do this. she just needs one more moment to wallow in self-pity before she sighs and is back up again. yes, she can do this. H would be so disappointed in her right now. so she just smiles a little right back. ]

Yeah, I'm starting to get that. And sorry, again, I'm usually much better company too. And I also don't tend to apologize this much. Don't usually have a lot to apologize for but- [ wow charlie. ] Yeah.

[Most people aren't snatched by evil scientists to inhabit a world of Big Brother, and so Fortescue just continues to look sympathetic. She hadn't exactly handled herself well upon arrival, either. In fact, she'd threatened to burn the place down.

In her defense, she'd thought that this was a Nazi compound.]

Don't worry about it, darling. Have you found your friends yet? They wouldn't happen to have the last name of Winchester, would they? Because at least one of them is here, I know.

[ definitely losing more and more attraction points as the clock goes on, charlie figures. so she'll just nod. ]

[There really is just a lot of people from that particular world, if the communicators are anything to go by. It's odd. Is it possible to feel sorry for a world? Fortescue kind of does. Nothing should get picked on like this.]
